Twice now I have lost my list of contacts, i.e. compose new message, and no
contacts show up. Have restored from backup tape and contacts have been
retrieved. Now I have also have lost all sound for reminding me of
appointments. Why do I keep losing my contacts, and even though all proper
boxes are checked properly, I still cannot get the sound, and no notification
of incoming e-mails? Thanks! Paul

Open your Contacts folder. Are they there?

It appears your PC has a problem, although there's no way to determine what
it might be. I do not believe the problem lies specificaly with Outlook.
