I imported 2500 old contacts and created about 90% duplicates. I'm using
Office Outlook 2007 and I can't believe that there is no tool in this
software to intelligently merge duplicates that have been created via the
import tool. Does anyone out there know of a third party tool that will do
this? It would be simple logic: If the contacts have the same modification
date then delete one or the other. If they aren't identical, then ask the
user which to keep or better, keep the conflicting fields from the newest
record and delete the older content and merge the duplicate contacts into one
contact record.

Thanks Diane. I've downloaded ContactsScrubberForOutlook and I'll give it a
try.
