    - Deleting contacts Hi, I was having a clean out and thought I was deleting contacts when in fact I was just deleting them from my address book, which I now realise is an entirely separate thing. Is there a way I can quickly delete the contacts I want to get rid of without going through the process manually again?     - Lost Contact I worked for a company and we were on exchange. I worked from my home office so i had RPC over HTTP protocol. That is how I was connecting to my exchange email.     - conversion error import contacts from csv Hi, I made a program to generate a .csv file, to be imported with the menu (File - Import/export etc) into outlook 2003. A month ago it worked, but now there results a conversion error, after selecting the import file, and selecting the destination (Contacts), just before the screen with the field assignments should appear (now it doesnot). When I create a new file manually, and copy the content, the import works well. The strange thing is that the import worked well, a month ago. What could have changed?     - Odd behaviour outlook 2007 - default view for contacts I have come across an interesting problem with a single Vista workstation in a network environment. Fault: When setting the view to categories for a contacts folder in public folders the views state is not saved when closing outlook. (This is usually saved on the last view when the application is closed) It can be changed but when jumping to a mail folder and back to the contacts .OU the view will revert back to business card format.     - I have an issue that NO ONE has been able to solve... I have a new Dell computer running Vista. My issue is when I create a Journal entry for a contact and then go to view it via Activities it randomly shows the entries. Sometimes it shows the Journal entry the first time I click on Activities, sometimes it shows the Journal entry the 5th time I click on Activities.     - Transfering contacts from my Outlook 2003 to an Outlook Exchange 2 I'd like to transfer my contacts from my personal laptop which has Outlook 2003 to my company issues laptop that has Outlook 2007.     - Some e-mail contacts not working as "to" addresses - undeliverable When I type an address in the "to" field and it starts to auto-complete based on recent address entries, I can hit "return" and it works if it puts the name of the recipient (the "display as" version from contacts) in between apostrophes (so 'John Smith'), or if it gives the name of the person then the e-mail address in between <> (so John Smith <Johnsmith@yahoo.com>). That always works. It also works if I manually type a complete address. But if I get the name of the contact without apostrophes or without the address in brackets, or more importantly, when I click on an address in my contacts it puts in the name of the recipient (the "display as" version, again), but WITHOUT the apostrophe and then it doesn't work. I get an immediate returned mail from "system administrator" but I think this is from Outlook itself, not my ISP. I don't think anything ever left my machine. But not sure on that point. But in any case, the message as "undeliverable" in the subject line and then "the following recipient(s) could not be reached" then the name of the contact, the date/time of the e-mail and then it says "The requested operation failed." I'm using Outlook 2003 and I haven't knowingly changed any settings, but this started happening to me recently (not problems with the same software and setup for years - this spontaneously started happening). exporting to excel, making the change and importing is often the best way to
make this type of change.
