Hi together,

hope to find some experts in the forum.

I use outlook contact and would like to make direct dial from outlook
contact to my home telephone. I mean e.g I select one contact, click from
outlook contact the phone number, it rings, and then I take as usual the
phone machine in the hand to speak.
What options there are for this:
- connect the telephone to the internet box (in this case, special phone
machine?)
- free software to download
- via Skype or jaja? then how?

thanks a lot for your help in advance

As far as I can tell, that's not possible with additional software. Outlook
uses the WIndows dialer to place the phone call and the Windows dialer can't
handle voice calls, only modem calls. Now, some voice modems come with
software that replaced the Windows dialer, so perhaps yours does. I've also
heard tell that Skype has a dialer that may integrate, but I've also seen
plenty of posts describing how Skype interferes with the correct operation
of Outlook.

That should read "without additional software."
