Hello to you all!

Is it possible to transfer the contacts from my gmail account to outlook?
How can I do it?

I haven't got experience with outlook and I'm still waiting for the messages
to be transfered (they are so many).

Thnks very much fo the help!

Didn't look on the gmail web site, did you? Open your contacts there, then
click the Export link at the bottom. Select the "Outlook's CSV format"
radio button and click Export. Save the csv, then import htat into Outlook.

Thnks Brian Tilman but it didn't work...
I don't know if having the windows vista is a problem (I understand it is
still imature) but anyway, what happens is:

I do the "export", "save" and then "import" it to outlook but the extension
is wrong (that's what it says - there is no document with the .vcs or .ics
termination).

Does anyone have an idea how I can solve this?

Thnks very much!

You have to choose the "import from another program or file" option - GMail
exports into a CSV format NOT an ics or vcs file.

It did for me.

Are you trying to import into Windows Contacts or Outlook? Windows Contacts
expects the VCS file. Outlook expects a CSV file. Choose the middle radio
button for Outlook.

Well, it can export to a vcs file, if you choose the third of the three
radio buttons.

True, but I guess if you were looking to import into Outlook specifically,
you would export in Outlook csv format...or is that being too logical?

Thank you both :)
I did everything you said - I had already done it all before posting the
second time - and it's still the same.

It says that there are no documents with the necessary termination to copy
from. I can't understand why.

I understand your suggestions, they are logical and I have experienced them
before posting here...but it doesn't copy the contacts anyway.

Have you got any idea why? Because for me it's not logical...and as I've
said before, it's the first time I'm trying to work with outlook.

Thnks again.

The second of the three radio buttons does exactly that and specifically
mentions Outlook.

Describe in detail every single step, button, and menu item you're choosing
for the entire process.
