    - Change modified by name in shared contacts When the user was first created their name was spelled wrong. Then user account was renamed and all of the email addresses and mailbox alias was changed. Now, many years later the user shared their contacts. When you open the contact the "Last Modified By" field shows the incorrect spelling of the name. Is there a way to change that to reflect the new spelling without deleting the account and mailbox?     - Merging contact lists from two computers I access the same email account from multiple locations, and over time there are slight differences in the contact email lists. I have in the past put the .pst file on a flash drive, transferred it to the new machine, and use the "Open Outlook Data File" function to successfully move Outlook around. If I just want to move the contacts, do I still move the entire .pst file? I would imagine I would open the second file, after making sure it has a different .pst file name and a different "name" for the personal folder. Then open the contacts in the second folder, and do a copy/paste operation to get the contacts I wanted into the "primary" file? Followed by closing the secondary .pst file and ultimately deleting it? My idea is that after one or two tries, I'd have a master contact list which I could then distribute as needed.....     - autofill troubleshoot My autofill in Outlook stopped working. The correct button is checked in the Advanced Option under the Email Options in Outlook. I have used it for several years. I think I may have inadvertently erased a component of the program that allows the autofill when I erased several programs 3 weeks ago. It hasn't worked since. But the issue I am having is that my boss once sent an email to a Kevin, but has no longer kept in contact with him, and now we work with another Kevin, and every time my boss wants to email him this old Kevin's email address pops up first and he sends him emails without noticing that it went to the wrong guy right away.     - Extra Line in Contact Address Printout I am prinitng out my contact (Outlook 2003) list in "phone book" format. I have compnay names with most of the people. When I print the list, sometimes it adds an extra blank line between the company name and the person's name, and sometimes it doesn't.     - Reminders for birthdays and anniversaries When I use the contact and select details and input the data for birthdays and anniversaries, I can not set a reminder. I like to be reminded one week prior to. The birthday and/or anniversary will appear on my calendar and then I can edit it for a reminder. However, the reminder NEVER shows up on my computer.     - Deleting Contacts - Contacts v/s GAL Contacts Outlook Version 11.8204.xxxx SP3 Clients are Connected to Exchange 2003 No Cached mode is used. Symptom: When a Contact is deleted for the Contacts folder, it is 'moved' to Deleted Items folder, but when deleted from Address Book Icon>Contacts (show Names from)>highlight a contact, right click >Delete>OK it does not go to the Deleted Items. As BlackBerry sync uses 'Deleted Items' to synchronize, Contacts deleted via Address Book icon do not get synchronised with BB. Also the same Contact does to get 'deleted' from the Contacts Folder. Question: 1. How would you setup Outlook so that when Contact Items are deleted from Address Book icon, it goes to Deleted Items' folder? 2.     - How do I add calendar entry for existing contacts (birthday) I had to delete all my calendar entries as it was a mess - several duplicates were created for each item as I changed the File As format a few times, So I emptied the Calendar and now want to create the calendar from scratch.     - How do I remove a link to a contact from a journal entry? I have linked a journal entry (meeting) to contact names from the address book in Outlook 2007. I cannot see a way to remove one or more of these links. In the previous versions of Outlook, the links were shown in a box at the bottom of the journal entry when opened and it was easy to add more contact names or delete them.     - Outlook Contacts Missing Notes After Export-Import Hello everyone, I hope my note finds you doing well. I work in for a small business (there are only 7 of us here). Everyone has stand-alone PC's (no network yet, though we are working on it) and we are running Windows XP and Office 2007. I happened to get the lucky task of putting over 650 contacts into Outlook. I could not displace my manager for the gazillion of hours it took to do this, so I did it at my desktop, used the Import-Export feature in Outlook Contacts, and exported them to a disk to upload on my manager's computer. The process was super fast and easy, but you can imagine my dismay when I saw that all the Contacts had imported with the Notes section completely BLANK! I had put very detailed notes in that section for just about every contact -- pictures (jpeg files), alternate addresses, emails of their assistants, etc. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. Does anyone know of a better way to do this so ALL of my data actually gets transferred? I look forward to your replies, thanks so much. I select the file to import then the next screen does not allow me to go any further as the next button and the map custom fields button are greyed out. I have a user who has several distribution lists(10) that she has shared with
members of her department. When the other users try to send a message to
multiple list the get a message " Unexpected error". There is nothing that
indicates what the problem might be. If the users select the multiple lists
then expand the list the messages are sent with no problem.

We are running Outlook 2003 on Exchange 2003

DL's rarely work as expected even when in their own native information
store. I would never expect them to work in a shared environment.
