    - Save and use my configured Advanced Find Results. How? I have found it useful to add and remove columns from the results in Advanced Find. However, it would be even more useful if I could save the configuration for future use.     - Contacts show blank under Contacts\Address Book button I have search and tried a number of fixes. Recreated profile...removed and readded outlook address book, Re-installed Outlook etc...nada I am running Outlook 2003 in an Exchange environment. If I click on my contacts folder and add a new contact...it saves fine. When I click the address book option, select contacts and try to find the new entry...it is not there.     - Outlook 2003 and Sharepoint I am working on a large multicenter project with three other people in a large academic setting. We have Outlook and Access 2003 on our computers. In addition, we have a Sharepoint website that is hosted by a third party. We have a large list of contacts that are devided into various committees and subgroups, and we are running into challenges maintaining the contact lists for communication. I have a couple of questions... At this point, we do not know of a way to link the contact information in our Access database with our Outlook contacts and distribution lists. Is that possible? We have tried creating Outlook distribution lists on the global directory with limited permissions as a means for members of our group to have access to the lists for communications, but this requires negotiating with our IT group to update the list. As our contact list is dynamic and there are frequent changes, this has proven ineffective. Is there a way to share contacts that allows others to send mail to shared distribution lists? We have been successful in sending mail to shared contacts, but the distribution lists will not work. Is it possible to maintain the contact list on Sharepoint in a way that would maintain the distribution lists? If not, do you have any suggestions on how we could integrate these 3 Microsoft products in a way that we are not having to update and maintain 3 separate lists of contact information? Thanks!     - Contact filtering Does anyone know if there is a way to create a contact view in Outlook 2007 that is filtered by the first letter of either the last name field or the file as field. I used to use tabview organizer, and their tech support and I worked out SQL code (for the SQL tab) that allowed for this in their product, but they have not been able to get it to work properly with Outlook 2007, so I have lost the functionality since I upgraded. I have 34000 contacts in Outlook, and it would be great to be able to only look at a smaller list (by letter), rather than having to scroll through all 34000 contacts every time I need to find someone. Also, (and this is probably for the 3rd party addons discussion group, but someone might know) does anyone know of an addon similiar to 2007, that allows for multiple views to be overlapped (Tabview allowed me to create a view, i.e. "clients", using the built in view creator, and, then further filter the list by each letter of the last name, thus I could switch between clients and colleagues (2 different views), and then narrow the results (using a seperate view selector) to all people who's last name begins with each letter, thus I could very quickly sort through and find a contact within such a long list Tag: Outlook 2003 - strange contacts problem.     - Contacts properties - greyed out I'm using Outlook 2003 Basic Edition on many computers in company. We have one additional .pst file with fresh contacts - It's copied on every PC with simple script during startup. This .pst file is connected to Outlook on each computer. It worked fine but one day "properties" option of addres book changed to gray and I cannot select it. It's strange that I still can view these contacts and get new if file on server is updated.     - Outlook 2007: Missing "Contacts" folder after power failure A friend has a computer with Windows XP and Office 2007. Recently they had a power failure where the computer was on at the time. When the power came back, they had some difficulty logging back into the computer but they eventually got in. They have recovered most of their email content however there are two users/profiles on the machine and both email profiles are missing their respective "contacts" folder along with the content. I ran a search for the .pst files on the hard drives and could not find the files. Could the power outage have caused partial data loss?     - Live Search Maps - Can't find the locations I have XP SP2 Professional and Home and have experienced a problem with Outlook Live Search Maps starting a few months ago. It is running on a Dell XPS420 with Q6600, 2.4GHZ quad processor that I purchased in December 2007. I have 4 GB @ 667 MHZ of memory (3.3 GB usable). I have a 256 MB ATI HD 2600 graphics card. I have a Dell Ultrasharp 22 inch monitor (1680 x 1050 pixels). I use McAfee VirusScan Plus. I have Office Professional 2003 and use Outlook for e-mail. Microsoft Works 8.5 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 came with the computer. I have 2 Optical drives E: & F: a 320 GB SATA hard drive C: & D: and a 250 GB SATA hard drive G: for backup. Microsoft update is auto and all Microsoft Windows software is current. Other programs such as McAfee VirusScan, Windows Defender etc. are up to date. Problem: I had to format C and reload the Dell as shipped software because Vista was damaged and could not be repaired. I saved the Outlook.pst file and loaded it after I reloaded Microsoft Office. I have all my old e-mail. I can see my Contacts in the Contacts Folder but when I select To: I get the following error message: I get the same error message when I select Tool/Address Book: The address list (book ?) could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this address list (book ?) could not be opened. It may have been moved or deleted or you do not have permissions. For information on how to remove this folder from the Outlook Address Book, see Microsoft Office Outlook Help. The Microsoft Office Outlook Help â??Remove contact folder from address bookâ?? does not help or address the problem. User1 sends email messages with the correct email address to User2. User2
does not receive them. The messages are not stuck in the Outbox and are
listed in the Sent Items folder. The problem continued until the nickname
entry and Outlook contacts entry for user2 were deleted. Why is this? Does
scanpst.exe fix this type of problem? Thanks for any replies.

I have seen it a few times. Once you purge that autocomplete entry
(nickname) it clears up.
