    - How do I upload contacts saved on a disk into outlook express? I had to get a new hard drive installed onto my computer. I was able to get all of my files saved and reinstalled.     - Outlook link between contacts and mail A couple of weeks ago my computer failed - possibly due to virus or other error. Through use of a boot disk, I was able to save my .pst files to another drive. I have formated a new drive, reinstalled Windows, Office, etc. I copied my .pst file to the new drive. Outlook now shows two Personal Folders files, with two Contacts files, as well as a Business Contacts file which I filled by importing from my Contacts folder. My contacts files are all complete and contain all of the previous contact information from the drive that failed, but I cannot access any of them from the Mail function. If I select New from the mail window and then attempt to fill an address by selecting To: or cc: I get a blank dialog box and cannot type anything into it. I can, however, start from the Contacts window and initiate an email but if I want to use multiple recipients or CC, etc. I have to then copy and paste all of the addresses into the email form.     - Show Contacts above Global Address List in "Show Names from the" L Hi, when I create an email in Outlook 2003, click the "To" button to select recipient names, Contacts used to be listed above Global Address List. I had a problem with my profile and recreated it, but I now find that when I go through the process to select recipients, Contacts is now at the bottom of the list. Does anyone know how I can move it to the top of the list so that I only have to go up one nudge from the Global Address List to Contacts.     - New Journal Entry for Contact I've recently upgraded from Office XP (2002) to Office 2007. When I'm working with a Contact page, I no longer see the command "New Journal Entry for Contact". This is really used by me a lot to record everything about that interaction. I've looked everywhere I can think of, and haven't found it; I did find the Journal button, but that only produces a generic journal form. The old way actually filled in a lot of the blanks for me. Also, I'd like to turn on Journaling for all my Contacts, but they're in subfolders, so apparently the software still doesn't allow me to do that, same as in Office 2002.     - While using Vista, why did my address book disapear in Outlook 200 I have been using Outlook 2000 since 2000. Call me a hardnose but it's a great program, I love it, I have been keeping my data base files stored just fine with 2000. I got a laptop about 10 months ago, Vista of course came with it. Outlook 2000 loaded fine and worked fine for about 6 months. Then at the snap of a finger all my contacts remained but the address book itself disappeared.     - Contact issue I have a rather complicated upgrade history. I went from using Outlook express to outlook2003 to outlook2007 within the last 2 months. All I needed to dod before to get an e-mail address to autopopulate was start entering the name from my contac menu. For some reason some of them are autopropogating as expected and others are not. I have checked the ones that do and the ones that dont and there is no logistical difference between them. Has anyone else had this problem? Any trick to making it work.     - Change modified by name in shared contacts When the user was first created their name was spelled wrong. Then user account was renamed and all of the email addresses and mailbox alias was changed. Now, many years later the user shared their contacts.     - Merging contact lists from two computers I access the same email account from multiple locations, and over time there are slight differences in the contact email lists. I have in the past put the .pst file on a flash drive, transferred it to the new machine, and use the "Open Outlook Data File" function to successfully move Outlook around. If I just want to move the contacts, do I still move the entire .pst file? I would imagine I would open the second file, after making sure it has a different .pst file name and a different "name" for the personal folder. Then open the contacts in the second folder, and do a copy/paste operation to get the contacts I wanted into the "primary" file? Followed by closing the secondary .pst file and ultimately deleting it? My idea is that after one or two tries, I'd have a master contact list which I could then distribute as needed..... When I try to set up Journaling via the Journal Options there is a blank window under Automatically record thes items. Is this something that is turned off on the Exchange server? I new to this whole post questions to get help, but I hope someone can help me with this somewhat simple issue (obviously not so simple cause I canâ??t figure it out). But the issue I am having is that my boss once sent an email to a Kevin, but has no longer kept in contact with him, and now we work with another Kevin, and every time my boss wants to email him this old Kevin's email address pops up first and he sends him emails without noticing that it went to the wrong guy right away. I often send the same email to numerous recipients. I have noticed that
other people who send to numerous recipients are able to hide the "to" list
and only display may address. How do you do this?

Try posting this in an Outlook Express news group - this is not one of =
them.
Outlook is a part of Microsoft Office and is what this group supports.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and has its own news =
groups.
