Outlook Address Book

I am new to Outlook 2002.

I have many email addresses listed in "Contacts" of my address book to avoid
spam notices. My "Outlook Address Book" is empty. How do I move some of some
of the contacts to my "Outlook Address Book" so that I have a address book
list from which to send mail?

Hi Cruiser,

the "Outlook Addressbook" is not a file. It is a list of contacts in a
contact folder.

Do you have 2 contact folders? Maybe one empty contact folder and one with
your contacts?

If yes, you must copy the contats from one contact folder to the other or
you must "select" the full contact folder as "Outlook Addressbook".

The "Outlook Address Book" container that you see in the Address Book
interface is just that - a container for address books. It should contain
references to each of the Contacts folders you have for which you have
enabled the address book view. RIght-click a Contacts folder, choose
Properties, select the Outlook Address Book tab, and check the box labeled
"Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book". You may have to stop and
restart Outlook for the change to take effect, but you should then see your
Contacts folders under the OAB entry.
