How do you get the font setting in your contact to be retained when e-mailing
the contact to someone?

You failed to specify which method you are using to send the Contact and
what version sender and recipient are using.

The version is Outlook 2003 on both sides and I am in contacts and forwarding
the contact as a vcard.

No wonder. If you want to transfer a Contact Record intact, you insert it as
an Outlook Item into an RTF message.
