    - How do I add calendar entry for existing contacts (birthday) I had to delete all my calendar entries as it was a mess - several duplicates were created for each item as I changed the File As format a few times, So I emptied the Calendar and now want to create the calendar from scratch. Is there any easy way to do this (VB/Macro)? Before when I saved a Contact it would give me the option whether I want to create a calendar entry, but now it does not.     - how do i add multiple contacts at once? Hi, I am using Outlook 2003. I have a folder with a lot of messages (100+). I want to add all the email addresses to my contact list. I guess this means I'll end up with 100+ Address Cards.     - look contacts in 2000 we had lost our contacts, which I was able to get back after a sysytem restore. Then I tried to consolidate 2 different user accounts (in XP) into one. Then contacts lost again.     - How do I remove a link to a contact from a journal entry? I have linked a journal entry (meeting) to contact names from the address book in Outlook 2007. I cannot see a way to remove one or more of these links. In the previous versions of Outlook, the links were shown in a box at the bottom of the journal entry when opened and it was easy to add more contact names or delete them.     - Outlook Contacts Missing Notes After Export-Import Hello everyone, I hope my note finds you doing well. I work in for a small business (there are only 7 of us here). Everyone has stand-alone PC's (no network yet, though we are working on it) and we are running Windows XP and Office 2007. I happened to get the lucky task of putting over 650 contacts into Outlook. I could not displace my manager for the gazillion of hours it took to do this, so I did it at my desktop, used the Import-Export feature in Outlook Contacts, and exported them to a disk to upload on my manager's computer. The process was super fast and easy, but you can imagine my dismay when I saw that all the Contacts had imported with the Notes section completely BLANK! I had put very detailed notes in that section for just about every contact -- pictures (jpeg files), alternate addresses, emails of their assistants, etc. Needless to say, I am not a happy camper. Does anyone know of a better way to do this so ALL of my data actually gets transferred? I look forward to your replies, thanks so much.     - How do I make the Outlook Adress Book Tab Appear in 2007 I have shared some contacts with my staff in various contacts folders i.e. i have a contacts folder that only my secratery and I use and another folder that other member of my staff and I can use and another that everyone can use etc. I want all of my staff to be able to use the "search address book feature on outlook". I have microsoft exchange on all computer with Office 2007. I can go to my contacts, right click on the relevant contacts folder, click properties, click the outlook address book tab and then tick "share this folder as an email address book. However, on all my other staffs computers, the Outlook Address Book tab does not appear let alone the check box. I have set all their permissions to publishing editors. When I try to share it with other users as I would a contact via email, the person recieving it recieves it as an attachment, opens it and sees the distribution list just as I do.     - Business FAX in To Box Using Office 2003. Just updated to SP-3 online. Now when I click on a Contact who only has a Business FAX, and choose SEND Message to Contact (Toolbar ICON or Action) their FAX info does not show in the TO box. It is simply blank.     - Phone number format While storing phone number I used the "Check phone number" form to enter a phone number.     - how does the import/export function potentially corrupt files?... i have yet to transfer my contacts from my old computer. i have an odd issue with my new system that needs to be resolved beforehand. but the Outlook techs from Dell and Microsoft that I have spoken to (probably 5 or 6) recommend that I use the import/export feature, although they recognize that copying the default .pst file is another alternative. just curious why this is. thanks for any input.     - Importing not working in outlook 2002 My problem is that when importing into outlook. I select the file to import then the next screen does not allow me to go any further as the next button and the map custom fields button are greyed out. I have spent many hours now trying to find a solution and followed lots of advise, so far I have tried importing from access, excel, csv and have the same problem with them all. I updated my installation so everything is loaded correctlt, I ran the detect and repair and all seems ok.     - Random asterisks Hello, I'm using an Exchange 2003 server with Outlook 2002 on Windows XP Pro clients. On one of the clients, when the user adds data into a new or existing Contact such as the tel #, repeating random asterisks appear in the field.     - Instant Messaging I understand Outlook 2007 allows users to see the online status of IM contacts. To turn on this function go to Tools - Options - Other, then select options under Person Names.     - Deleting contacts Hi, I was having a clean out and thought I was deleting contacts when in fact I was just deleting them from my address book, which I now realise is an entirely separate thing. Is there a way I can quickly delete the contacts I want to get rid of without going through the process manually again? It would be handy to add a category to all my remaining contacts in the address book at once and then delete any contact not categorized, but that doesn't seem to be possible. Outlook Version 11.8204.xxxx SP3
Clients are Connected to Exchange 2003
No Cached mode is used.

Symptom:

When a Contact is deleted for the Contacts folder, it is 'moved' to Deleted
Items folder, but when deleted from Address Book Icon>Contacts (show Names
from)>highlight a contact, right click >Delete>OK it does not go to the
Deleted Items.

As BlackBerry sync uses 'Deleted Items' to synchronize, Contacts deleted via
Address Book icon do not get synchronised with BB. Also the same Contact does
to get 'deleted' from the Contacts Folder.

Question:
1. How would you setup Outlook so that when Contact Items are deleted from
Address Book icon, it goes to Deleted Items' folder?
2. How would the Contacts Folder be 'refreshed' with the deleted contact
when done from Address book Icon.?. PS: Send/Receive does not update it.

Contacts should never be manipulated from the Address Book interface.
Deleting something there will usually result in deleting the email address
associated with the contact but will not delete the contact itself.

You cannot. It doesn't contain any data to delete.
