When I create a new contact if does not show up on the contact list.
However, when I use seach it finds the new contact intact info is another
folder? How do I get the new contact in the contact list.

We have no idea what you mean by "contact list." Outlook uses no such term
and it could mean anything. We don't even know your Outlook version.

Outlook 2007. When I open the Address Book menu item, there are two option,
Outlook Address Book and Contacts. When I select New Entry for the Address
Book dialog box and complete the template the save and close the new contact
does not show up in the contact list.

The Address Book interface is never the way to manipulate contacts Open
your Contacts folder for that.

Of course not. You enter Contacts in your Contacts Folder. You never use the
address book view for that. There is no data in the address book view and it
was never intended for data entry or editing.
