    - Contacts w/images? I have set up over 400 contacts that have a image attached to each of them and I can view them fine.     - spaces in email address We have an external email server that allows for addressing email to group names but the group names contain spaces. In our Groupwise address book I was able to create a 'contact' with an email address of "Group Name"@domain.com Double quoting the string allowed GW to treat it as a valid email address. Outlook won't accept the double quotes as delimiters for the group name. I have tried several other characters with no success.     - vCard never saves "IM address" or "Display As" (for email) Sorry for the repost but this similar question has not been answered or responded to for 3 months now (from someone else) so I thought I'd take a stab at asking the public myself with my specific needs. When I create a vCard *for signatures* in Outlook 2003, the .vcf file located in the "C:\Documents and Settings\%windows_username%\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures" folder does not retain the "IM address" or "Display As" field. vCard details are never imported/saved correctly UNLESS I edit the .vcf file with Notepad and code it in manually using keywords. Specifically, I don't know the keywords to add "IM Address" and "Display As" (for email) but I do for others, such as the "Notes" field. Can anyone help with the other two? For notes, I use the keywords "NOTE;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE: Some text here". Is there any way to do this for "IM Address" and "Display As" for email address also? Please help. Thanks in advance.     - Look For Dialog Usage in Contacts Folder Hello, Does anyone know of a reference or list of the native Outlook fields that the "Look For" dialog will automatically search in when it is used from one of the contact views, typically address cards or detailed address cards in my case, without having to resort to the "Advanced Find" dialog? I have custom fields that I am populating via Access and the Look For does not seem to search them, which is not surprising, but it also does not seem to search more then just a very few of the standard Outlook fields.     - Migrating Outlook 2003 Contacts to New Exchange Mailbox I recently acquired a MS Exchange mailbox from my email hosting company and set up wireless Blackberry synchronization. Everything went smoothly except that my Outlook Contacts are not in my new Outlook profile files. Blackberry tech support made me wipe everything off the Blackberry during the setup process. I have exported the contacts from the old file into a .csv file and imported them into the new profile. I also tried to export to a .pst file. After importing I can see my contacts but when composing a new email I don't see them when I click on the "To" button to call up my address book. I looked in the properties and the box is checked to generate Exchange views. They are also not synchronizing with my Blackberry. I do have a backup for the Blackberry made with the Blackberry desktop manager but I can't access this because the Blackberry is set to sync wirelessly now.     - Contacts missing since moving to Exchange We use Outlook 2007 and since we have switched over to an Exchange server, some of our contacts are missing. We did move each persons contacts from their personal contact folder to the Contact folder for their exchange mailbox. Not all but many of each persons contacts are missing. I am not sure what the common link is but it is happening to everyone. We look in the global folder, the individual address books and the contacts lists but don't understand why they are not there.     - Outlook 2007 I just upgraded my computers to Office 2007 from Office 2003. When I used Outlook 2003, my contacts were arranged by categories. With the upgrade to 2007, I still have my contacts and they are still labeled with their category. The problem is that when I create a new contact, I don't have my master category list, just the default list. I also click on the "all categories" but my master categories are still missing.     - Disabling Telephone Dialling in Outlook 2007 I am an experienced user of Outlook prior to the current version. When I enter a new contact I now get a Pop up asking about my current location's area code etc for dialling. I have entered all the details, even though I do not dial from my PC, but I just get into a dreadful loop that keeps asking me the same questions.     - How do I disable autofil I have several wrong and out of use email addresses on my PC. They can be deleted from Contacts, but when I begin a new mail and the name of the recipient, for several of my friends, I am faced with more than one address. I often choose the wrong one, so i end up sending to all the addresses which autofil supplies, which means all but the correct one bounce back. Not a very efficient way of going on.     - Categories unstable So, why does Outlook suck so hard. Somehow all of my categories are a complete mess... I have been using categories instead of contact lists b/c I can put people into multiple categories as I add their contact info. For contact lists, it seems I have to add the contact info, then open each of the contact lists I would like to add them to, and then add them - Argh! However, email people in a category proves to be a complete pain in the... eg. figure out how to group by category, group by category, drag category onto mail tab, ignore error message, then write email (I'm still trying to figure out how to get them into BCC). Anyway, categories have porven to be a complete f'up again by microsoft. Somehow, most people are not in the categories I originally placed them in, I'm only in one of the eight categories I have created. I did move categories all the way to the right and off the screen b/c I was dumping people from a category when I was trying to click on the category next to their name to open the category - seems logical, or that I'd at least get a 'are you want to delete Joe from this category?' I think I sorted by category or something and everyone was placed into one (or a couple times two?? categories), don't know - but half the people in my contacts are no longer in any category and the rest are only in one or two. Looks like I'll have to start over with contact lists and try to determine who should be on which list or maybe I'll go back to using my personal computer (Mac) which actually works.     - I seem to have 2 Contact Lists and can not use the best one. Windows XP, Outlook 2007 - Office Enterprise 2007 (I think) at work. File 1 = "Address Book: Contacts" is accessed by e-mail and at the top of the Outlook Screen by clicking on an "Open Book" icon or Ctrl + Shift + B. File 2 = "Contacts - Microsoft Outlook" is accessed at the bottom of the outlook screen by clickin on a "Business Card" icon or at the top by "Go" "Contacts". File 1 is a brief list of what I had in 2003. File 2 is a near complete listing of what I had in 2003 and it got this way with me creating new contacts. I created new contacts using the File 1 screen, using "File, New Contact" completing the form and the entry shows up on File 2. I was told of a way to add listings to File 1 a while back and have contacted the man who told me how. My question is, Why do I have two lists. Can I make List 2 inco List 1 without all the typing?     - Allow recording a birthday without a year Regarding birthdays, in many cases, the only information one has, or that is relevant, is the day of the year, not the year itself. Outlook 2007 cannot accommodate this case; it must assign a year in a Contact's birthday field. To record birthdays without a year, I could choose a flag year such as 1900, which would mean "year unknown" to me, but of course this solution is misleading to anyone who doesn't know the convention.     - Outlook Contacts Lost - Are they gone forever? A colleague is changing PCs and needed her contacts moved from one computer to another. I've done the export exercise in the past without luck. This time, we decided to move her contacts to a separate folder (to preserve the existing contacts in case of corruption) and copy that folder onto a thumb drive. Used the "create folder" option on the drop down menu, created the folder, and when I clicked Okay, only one contact was moved to the new folder. Went to the old folder to try to move the lot, and everything was gone. Only that one contact remained. There was no warning note of "are you sure you want to delete all files" or anything like that; looked high and low; had our system administrator search the server, they are just gone. How is this possible? By the way, this isn't the first time I've lost contacts - in a pc to mac conversion, the import/export feature completely lost them all. What a nightmare.     - Contact Phone Numbers need resetting Hi, I have a public contacts folder set up in outlook 2000. Unfortunately the phone numbers were typed in the following format + 1 - 232 - 67890 (spaces and dashes as shown). We have now upgraded to outlook 2003 and now when we add new contacts the phone number format is set to +1 232 - 6789, even though we type in the format originally used (BTW the contacts form is moified which stops the numbers being underlined for some reason). The problem I have is that the 1300+ contacts that where already there need changing to match the new format. I have tried changing and reseting the Dialing properties to another country and back to UK, and exporting to PST file and re-importing, but no luck.     - OUTLOOK and the missing WAB.DLL I have just loaded Office2000 Premium SR-1 on Vista Home Premium. When clicking on the "To:" in Outllook I get and error message suggesting the WAB.DLL cannot be found. I have searched Microsoft and they suggest renaming the wab32.dll from Outlook Express.     - 1000 contacts Outlook 2003 using Outlook Connector to MSN account I've just migrated from a business account to a personal account in Outlook 2003 using Outlook Connector to sync to my MSN account. I want to change the captions on the default contact form for Telephone
numbers.

Is this easy to do, and how do I do it?

I have tried opening the form and then choosing edit this form, but the
captions don't seem to change.
