Keep meeting on calendar after declining invite

Outlook Calendar Toolbars
Using Outlook 2003 on MSW 2K, the Calendar toolbar will not save the
action/standard buttons, Accept, Decline, etc.......or the Send button. I
can move them to the existing toolbars but they don't stay once the window
closes. I can create a new toolbar and add them, but once the window closes
and I reopen, the new toolbar is there, but it's empty. Tag: default meeting length Tag: 99305
Calendar Permissions
I have a user that wants to share his Outlook 2003 calendar with other
coworkers. He wants his coworkers to be able to view only the subject line
of his calendar items. He doesn't want them to be able to open and read the
details of each calendar item. Currently, we are able to set "Read Only"
permissions. However, this allows his coworkers the ability to open the
meeting/appointment/event and read more details about it. He doesn't want
that. We have also tried setting his calendar items as "Private". When you
do this, the subject line says something general like "Private Item". It
doesn't give you the acutal subject line. Is there a way for him to be able
to set calendar permissions for his coworkers to only be able to read the
subject line of his calendar items? Let me know if you need more
information. Tag: default meeting length Tag: 99304

Outlook Calendar
I copied my old .pst file, specifically calendar, into the default calendar.
Initially, it was showing up as Calendar. Now it is appearing as Calendar
(2). Are there two copies of my calendar? How do I get rid of the (2)? I
thought that you couldn't change the default name, Calendar?
Also, when I migrated my old information into the new, dates where I had
activity prior to April 2008 are not 'bolded'. I have to search day-to-day
in December for example to see where I had activity. Is there are way to
change it so that all dates that had activity are bolded?

Outlook sending updates for meetings that haven't been updated
I have an odd issue. I have had a number of people report that
Outlook will send updates for meetings by itself. We are using
Outlook 2007 and Exchange 2003, and these people set up a meeting and
invite multiple people and everything works as normal. Then, sometime
in the future, Outlook automatically sends out an update to the
meeting (nothing has actually changed about the meeting, but it sends
an update none the less) to everyone invited to the meeting. The
meeting organizer is always logged into Outlook at the time, but
sometimes isn't even at their desk when the update is sent. They only
find out later when they start receiving acceptance emails about the
update. When you look in sent items, there is an email that was sent
from outlook for the update, but the person didn't send it. This has
happened to multiple people, multiple times, with multiple meetings,
so I know it isn't just a single person doing something weird.
Anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks. Tag: default meeting length Tag: 99273

How to import a ics calendaring with attach in Outlook 2003?

I can use Outlook 2007 import this file successfully. But in Outlook 2003,
after import calendar ics file, the attached file disappeared.
I've made another test. In Outlook 2003, create an appointment and add an
attached file in calendar. Save as FileName.ics in local disk. Delete the
calendar in Outlook. Then, import the FileName.ics, the import calendar
without attach.
Need someone's help to explain what happen about this performance.

When I add an event to my calendar that is sync'd the event shows as an all

event. This also happens vise-a-versa. If I create an event on the web that
is an all day event it shows as all day there but as a two day event with a
time schedule in OL2007.
The first thing I did was insure that my PC/OL2007/Webmail (live.com small

Calendar Items Duplicated. Triplicated during PST import and sync
We run a mixed environment of Win XP Pro, Vista and MAC OSX 10.4. The email
we use is a leased Exchange Service 2003 and 2007 with Outlook 2003 and Mac
Entourage 2004 v10.4 desktop clients.
Our calendar has been fine up until yesterday when we attempted to synch the
Mac using Entourage 2004 with our new iPhone.
Upon looking at the synched data in the iPhone we noticed that the calendar
scheduling was duplicated and even triplicated.
I took a look at the calendar data both in Outlook 2003 and in Entourage
2004 for Mac and what I saw was it had taken the individual details of a
caldendar transaction and broken them up into individual entries. By this I
mean that if a calendar entry had a reminder, an alarm, was reoccuring. It
would break this single entry into 3 seperate entries.
Before I started this process I had exported all the calendar entries to a
PST file from Outlook 2003 so I deleted all the calendar entries and tried
again.
This time I imported the calendar entries from an Outlook 2003 PST into
Outlook 2003 and sure enough when it finished importing it had likewise
broken up all the calendar entries into multiple transactions. There
appeared to be no consistency of when it would seperate a transaction and
when it wouldn't.
I have tried this several times and it consistently does the same thing each
time.
Is there a soloution to this problem. Why is it not keeping all the
Calendar data together for each calendar item.
While these appear to be duplicate items they are only duplicates by the
bases of the subject. date and time of the event. But if there are any
additonal reminders, alarms, reoccuring events then it creates a seperate
entry for each one of these instead of having them all in one record.
What's causing this and how do i fix it.
Thanks

OLK 2007
In previous versions, we can type something like "+ 3 weeks" or "-45 days"
into the start date of a new calendar appointment and the date field will
update to reflect the correct math. In OLK 2007 (with Vista), it appears I
can only do a "+" of forward start date. Its aggravataing. What if I'm on a
future date and my supervisor want to plan something specifically 45 days
before something else? (- 45 days). Now I have to count manually?
Any ideas? Thanks! Tag: default meeting length Tag: 99176
Date and Time a calendar entry was created/added
Here's is my example and related question:
Example:
On Friday 5/2 created a personal calendar entry for an appointment from
2-3pm. On Monday 5/5, the event I created on 5/2 from 2-3pm has past, but
now it has become important that I recall the TIME that I created this entry
on 5/2. I believe I created it 11:00am, but I cannot recall.

Is there a way to see the date/time a calendar entry was created/added to
your calendar? Tag: default meeting length Tag: 99172
