    - question on meeting sent to a distribution list I sent a meeting invite to a work group distribution list that I had set up and now I want to update the invite with more details. When I look at the scheduling tab I can see the distribution list name and then each person that replied to the invites name is shown individually. When I send the update will all of these people receive two since thier name is listed twice? There are just over 100 names on this list. Any direction would be appreciated.     - Outlook issue Hi A user is opening outlook, they have their own calander plus a couple of shared calanders. When they first click on their calanders - the caladers are displayed how they want them to be (in day, week, month format) They then click back to their mail inbox, when they click back on their calanders they are displayed as a List?     - New Appointments Slow I'm running Windows Vista with Outlook 2007 and Microsoft ActiveSync for my HTC Touch. I've also got Groupwise 7 installed because that's what my work used for E-mail. Recently (since I re-installed Groupwise), whenver I try to create a new appointment in Outlook, the program seems to freeze for ~5 minutes. If I click on the X to close the program, it tells me that the program is not responding. If I just let outlook sit for a while (usually ~5minutes), then it eventually pops up the new appointment screen. After that first delay for a new appointment, the subsequent appointments are created quickly. Anyone know why it's so slow on that first appointment? Any idea how I can fix it? Thanks!!!     - Invitation not sent but Appointment created successfully on Ms.Exchange 2003 Hi all, I really confuse right now, because i develop a web application talking to Ms.Exchange 2003 via webDAV, but only half success (50% success). Ok, this my objective: I created an appointment as well as invite some users (attendees) from my web application. The appointment is successfully created and can be seen in Outlook Calendar. But no invitation is sent to the attendees. This is quite strange, since if i create an appointment directly from Outlook Calendar and do invite some users (attendees), after i click send, then the appointment is created and a message will be sent to each attendees (users). Am i doing wrong?     - Appointment "Catagory " is lost when accepting an appointment invi I have a calendar in which many custom views have been created. The custom views sorts and displays the appointments/events based on filters which use the "Catagory" fields. This had been working fine until recently. (We just upgraded to exchange 2007 from 2003, problem may be related) Now we are noticing that appointments added to the calendar via an invite do not show up in the custom views. After doing a lot of tests and expieriments to find the problem, it has been identified. It seems that the "Catagory" setting is removed from the accepted invite in the calendar that accepts it. The catagory remains in the original calendar that sent the invite. In other words, Ralph sends an invitation for Lunch to Sally. In the appointment category, he selects "Luncheon", then sends the invite. Sally accepts the invitation. The appointment is saved in her calendar. Now she goes to view the calendar using a "Custom View" that shows "only appointments that have a category of "Luncheon". Knowing that Ralph just sent a "Luncheon" invite she expects it to be shown in the "Luncheon" custom view, but it is not. If Sally looks at "All" the appointments in her calendar, the "Luncheon" appointment is there, however, when she opens it, she notices that the "Category" is blank, not "luncheon" which is how it was sent. This is why it did not show up in her custom "Luncheon" view. What I need to know is what is causing the "Category" to be deleted from the appointment when it is accepted and how do I stop it from doing that. Is this a "Bug", or is there a setting that must have been inadvertently changed some where that will cause this to happen? Has anyone else seen this kind of problem?     - printing all day events My office likes to print Outlook 2003 calendar reports using the Print Style- "Calendar Details Style". The report prints the "all day" events first and then the timed events, (i.e. 9:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m. etc.) last. We'd rather have the report show all of the a timed-events first and then show all of the "all day" events last. I have looked at the printing solutions/options in www.slipstick.com without any luck.     - Printing more than 3 appointments on full month calendar When I try to print my monthly calendar in Outlook 2007 (Vista), only the first 3 appointments will print, even though there are often 5 or 6 on the screen.     - How to work without Labels in 2007 I used both Labels (office locations) and Categories (meeting types) on our shared "meetings calendar". Not only did that color-code the calendar so viewers could easily see which meetings were put on at which office on any given day, but, we could sort by either meeting-type (Category) or Office location (Label). Now that we've upgraded to 2007, how do I do that? I've read that I cannot see both categories in list view; I can only view one or the other, for any appointment that has multiple categories. In 2003, I could sort by Category and see what label it was as well or vice versa. I have searched and found nothing addressing this, except what I cannot do.     - Sharing calendars I am in need of serious help. My boss would like everyone in the office to be able to view/edit his calendar on Microsoft Office Outlook 2003. I've searched everywhere online and it says you should be able to click Tools -- Options --- Delegates and choose who should have access to your calendar. I do not see this option. We are on a shared server, but I don't know much about it beyond that. Does anyone have any idea how to do this?     - Not receiving message that invitee accepted/rejected meeting I am using Outlook 2007. I sent out an invitation to several people. It did not appear that anyone had responded to the invite so I called one person and he said that he had responded. I resent the invite to him and he responded with an accept and I still did not get an email from him. I went to Meeting tab, Show group, Scheduling and I saw where everyone had accepted the invite because the block of time was listed as busy for each person. I then went to Tracking to look at the Response column; out beside each person it had None. I thought it was suppose to reflect Accepted or Rejected. Can someone help me with this?     - Emailing migrated Calendar events I recently migrated a number of users from one Exchange server to another (2003 to 2007). Basically we brought them in-house by exporting from the old system and running "Import" on the new one. The migration went smooth with no problems. Soon after however, the users started reporting that when they try to send a exisiting Calendar invitation (one that was imported) they get errors. In one case the error read that "UserA is not allowed to send on behalf of UserA" which is really hard to explain to the usuers (basically a user is not allowed to send on his own behalf). I messed around with permissions but that did not help. Has anyone come accross this and found a workaround? The easy one is to recreate the message but I have users with a lot of appointments.     - Delete reoccuring apointments, future only without changing past How can I delete or change future reoccuring appointments only, without altering past occurances of the appointment??? If I try to change or delete in any way a reoccuring appointment, I get a message that "Any exceptions to this recurring appointment will be lost". I even get this if I try to change the end date of a recurring apt. So if I change a reoccuring apt from having no end date, to ending on a specific day, ALL past changes to that appointment are reset back to the default reoccurnace pattern. I only want future changes to be changed. There are several ways that this is a problem for me, but I will only give one example here. I have a re-occuring apt for my work week showing the days I work (basically Mon-Fri). I have this as a never ending re-occuring apt and may stay this way for a year. However, frequently, I may work a Sat or Sunday so I will Move or copy those specific occurances. OR, I may go in late on a day, so I will update that days apt with the changed start time. I use the reoccuring apt as a baseline and make manual changes and that works good. But, if my schedule changes and I now work Sat-Wed, I would want to stop that reoccuring apt to end a a specific date, and recreate a new one. But when I change the series to end on a date, it then deletes all the manual changes i made over the last year or two, and defaults everything back. I ONLY want to change future occurances and not delete all the manual changes in the past. I need the manual changes for my records. But, creating 2, 4, or 10 years of single appointments, would take forever. As I said, there are other examples too where this is a problem. I am running Vista and Office 2007. Thanks.     - Missing appointment in Outlook calendar using Direct Push We are using Small Business Server 2003 with Exchange Server with SP 2. We are also using mobile devices with Windows Mobile 6.0 setup to use Direct Push with the Exchange Server, and it works fine. Except that all the appointments dissapear in Outlook (Both Outlook 2003 and 2007). But if we logon to our own Outlook Web Acces, the appointments are still there, or if I open a shared calender from one of my co-workers, who's also using Direct Push, I can see all his apointments, and he can't see his appointments in his Outlook on his computer.     - Deleting Recurring Meetings We're running Exchange 2007 with OUtlook 2003 sp3 clients. I have a few users who are experiencing the following issue. Either delete or change (invitees/resource) one meeting in a set of recurring meetings. Delete notice/Update changes are sent to participants involved. Participants all receive the delete or update notice. However, if the organizer deleted the meeting, the organizer still has the meeting on their own calendar. If the organizer changed some of the attendees, the original attendees are listed in the meeting, not the updated attendees. Going into sent items proves that the updated invite was sent to the appropriate individuals and some of the newly invited attendees may even have responded to the update and still the organizer only shows the 'old' attendee list. It all seemed to work fine when we were running Exch 2k3 which is why i'm posting here. Help! Users shouldn't have to delete the appt after sending a delete notice...and they should be able to look at an invitation and know that it was already updated... Can anyoen offer any suggestions?     - how do I stop calendar reminders sent by third parties I have reminders turned off in Calendar. When I schedule an appointment it defaults to "No reminder" which is exactly how I want it. Unfortunately, other people who send calendar meetings can't resist imposing their own reminders on me and I have to open each accepted meeting request and manually turn off their reminder. When the users try to book the particular conference room, he/she selects the conference room as a resource. The command line looks kinda like (Depends on what version of Outlook
you are using as to WHERE your Outlook.exe file is located):

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office11\Outlook.exe " /CleanReminders

Note: Paths that include spaces between words must be enclosed in quotation
marks (") and are case sensitive.
