When I send out invites too a Webinar, I add all attendees as BCC recipients.

However some of my attendees say they can see a list of all people
invited/accepted when they look at the invitation in their calendar.

Also when some people send their reply (accept/tentative/decline) the reply
is received by the organisor(which is right) and also, sometimes, by a random
person (who was part of the attendee/BCC list)

Has any1 else come across this?

How can I avoid this from happening?

I should also add that it only happens to the odd person, (1out of every 100)

Thanks

on the random ones who get copied on the reply - are they a delegate of one
of the persons invited?

only you or those with access to your calendar should see the list of people
who accepted, so it's a permissions issue.

I send them to about 1000 people from different companies all over the world.
The copied person is a complete random.
1 person wrote back to me saying they could see a list of people on their
invite and the people he could see were from different companies (he hadn't a
clue who they were)

I am using Outlook 2007 (Office Ultimate 2007)
Ya, I double check every time to make sure I use the right field. (esp since
I found out this was happening)

I have been looking into it more, and when people forward the invite to
collegues all the accepted attendees show up on the invite that is being
forwarded.

you are entering something in the location field, correct? (otherwise the
resources fill it) I recommend putting your address or a generic address in
the To field too.

I will have to double check the location field. I always however put my own
address in the To field.

I will check and let you know.

Thanks

if you leave the location field empty, it fills with the resources - you
should notice it before sending as it did it for me immediately.

I have done some more testing using just 4 people.
I made sure attendees were added as 'Resources' and that I filled in the
location field.

I am almost sure now that the problem starts to arise when attendees forward
their invite to other people and these people accept/tenative/decline the
forwarded invite.

I have tried sending the invite as an i-Calendar attachment also, to no
avail.

Think I might have to resort to just sending a plain email and asking
recipients to manually mark the date in their calendar themselves
