    - Resources direct booking vs permissions Hi, Using Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003. I have 2 resources mailboxes setup to auto-accept meeting invitations. I want every user in the company to be able to book the resources. If there is a conflict we want one person to deal with these problems. As stated in this article: http://www.slipstick.com/calendar/skedresource.asp#ol2000 I had to gives Author access to the resources calendar to let everyone book the resource AS a resource. We can book it as an attendee to the meeting, but I think it misses the goal. Is there a way I can setup the thing so everyone are reader but they can book the room as a resources? When I add a person to a meeting and send an update it doesnâ??t give me the option of sending the invite to the added person and automatically sends an update to everyone.     - Outlook/Exchange Shared Calendar not updating Hello, We have a secretary updating her boss's calendar everyday. All of a sudden, none of her new or edited calendar entries are not being updated at her boss's calendar. He doesn't see any updates as she adds or changes them. If I go to another user's computer and update the same boss's calendar, it works fine. The problem seems to be isolated to her computer. Can anyone suggest any fixes? We're using OL2007 and Exchange 2003 SP2 on SBS 2003 server. By the way, I fixed it once by deleting her profile and recreating it, but the same problem came back after a week. Any good ideas?     - Can you change the default calendar in outlook? I use Outlook 2007. I have more than one calendar and I would like to know if there is a way to get those calendars to show on the Outlook Today home page? Example, MSN Subscriber, use Outlook Connector, calendar syncs with web and Outlook, but the events and tasks do now show on the Outlook Today Page. That is the default for opening.     - My reminders are not working in Outlook 2007. I just updated from Outlook 2003 to Office Enterprise 2007 and am having a heap of trouble with Outlook. None, old or new, reminders are working. I have combed the task for some clue as to why but cannot come up with a thing. I have used Outlook for nearly 10 years and have grown quite accustomed and dependent on these reminders.     - Attendee calendars not showing up (grey striped bar) in Scheduling This is a recurring issue. For example, I scheduled an appointment and some of the attendees names were recognized (reformatted after I typed them into the Scheduling tab), but the chart out to the right displayed a grey diaganolly striped bar as if I entered an unknown attendee. I checked with an attendee and I don't think he had logged in yet this morning. After I knew he was logged in, I checked the appointment and sure enough, I could see his appointments now. I then closed and reopened the appointment, and while I don't see the grey striped bar, I can only see his busy time as the appointment I scheduled, the rest of the bar appears to be available. He showed me his calendar and that is not the case. I'm assuming this is some sort of Outlook/Exchange behavior that is expected, but can anybody fill me in on why it does this and how it can be avoided? Tag: Recurring appointments Tag: 99061

    - Lost Functionality When Accepting Meeting Requests I have Outlook 2003/SP3, Corporate Exchange Server environment, Windows XP SP2 I've been having this problem for some time (a year or more): A meeting request with a configured 30 minute reminder in my inbox. I accept the meeting. - The popup that asks about 'Edit response, send resonse, don't send response' is not displayed. - The meeting requestor does not get an 'Accept' (or decline, if I decline it) confirmation email. - The reminder is turned off in the calendar. I can go in and activate the reminder, but I must remember to do so. Here's the weird thing... I have at least one sub-folder where all of the above happens/works correctly. The other folders at the same level do not work. There is not much in folder properties, but what is there is the same between the folder that works correctly and the other folders. I have tried several things (most do not come to mind right now), but I even created a whole new user profile and relinked to my existing PST files. Nada. several years of saved data, so I must keep my existing PST files. I hesitate to try some of the documented switches to Outlook.Exe, as some of the side-effects of the ones I have tried have been pretty hard to recover from: /CleanViews, Any ideas, well, err... good ideas, anyways? -- Paul Tag: Recurring appointments Tag: 99057

    - Calendar upload password failure SAve password option is checked. I can login to the Windows Live ID using IE 7.0 with no problem. I deleted the saved calendar manually from Windows Live ID. I kept getting a request to enter my User ID and Password when I attempted to upload my calendar again to lboxall@bellsouth.net. The only time that Outlook will upload the calendar is after I have deleted and reregistered my Windows Live ID account. I am using MS XP Professional and a Verizon USB720 Modem to connect to the internet. All other Outlook 2007 functions appear to be OK.     - No Informations showing with random individuals in Metting Request We are running Outlook 2003 and are having issues with random individuals where we cannot see any of their information when setting up a meeting. One particular user has information on her calendar and has it set to display 36 months of information. However some of my attendees say they can see a list of all people invited/accepted when they look at the invitation in their calendar. On my old pc - when I edited an overdue reminder in the reminders list, if I saved and closed, the reminder would stay in the reminders list until snoozed or dismissed. On this pc. How to delete attendee names from a recurring appointment and only send
notices to those people. I make many changes to meeting appointments and
attendee lists also change. I would like to send notices to only those
affected by the changes; however, my entire distribution list receives the
notices and this can be very confusing. Help!

AFAIK, you can't. If the attendee lists change between appointments you
should not use recurring. Make single appointments.
