Is there a way to set the default in appointments as private.

The reason is if I wish to send my calendar to someone I don't wish them to
see what my other meetings are about.

We don't have our calendars avaliable on a server to share calendars.

You can edit the form to have the private box checked and then use that form
or use a group by view - group by the private field and drag everything from
private:no to private:yes.
