Hi ,

When a meeting request is sent to a Distribution List /group , the
members of the Distribution Lists are unable to respond to the
meeting requests.

The accept , tentative , decline buttons don't even appear in the
meeting request (when opened from attendee's inbox) . Also we get as
"As the meeting organizer you do not need to respond to the meeting."

We are facing this issue only in Outlook 2007 . Any suggestions what
needs to done to make this working.
Appreciate your Help

Thanks in advance,
Bhuma

Are your Outlook 2007 clients up to date on all of the
patches for the program? I ask because it seems to me this was
fixed with a patch.

Hi,

Many Thanks for your reply .
I do have the latest updates for Outlook 2007 . I am using Outlook
2007(12.0.6300.5000) SP1 MSO (12.0.6213.1000)
Any idea in which patch it got resolved.

Also I figured out that if I expand the DL (Open the Meeting Request ,
Rt. click on the group ->Expand DL) , the accept ,decline buttons
appear.
So is it necessary to expand the DL in Outlook 2007 ? But in Outlook
2003 buttons appear even without expanding the DL.

Thanks,
Bhuma

That makes sense! In answer to your question, not off hand.
It sounds to me like you solved your own problem and there
is no patch to worry about. :)
