Recurring meetings with reminder duplicates hundreds of times
When I add recurring meetings (recurring yearly since they are actually
birthdays) and add reminders, I get hundreds of meetings on that day, all
saying for exampel Linda's Birthday.
Why is this? How can I do this without having this problem? Is there a fast
way of deleting all these extra meetings?

Outlook 2007 Calendar day/week/ month view
In the day/week/month view in Calendar (Outlook 2007), how can I get more
than 1 appointmert to display eg.
10 am Sales Meeting
1 pm Lunch with MD
instead of having the 1st appointment displaying, and then a down arrow
indicating another later appointment? I have the latter display on one
computer, but cannot replicate it on the other. Both are using Visat Home

How to get the Calendar Printing Assistant to show missing events
I noticed that some of my recurring events (birthdays) did not show in the
calendar printing assistant. Other, very similar events, did show. The
difference is that events with an older start date did not show. When I
changed the recurrence to begin in 2008 (instead of 1998 or earlier years),

Other Calendars not staying
I am the contact for Outlook 2003 in our office. The problem is that when
this opens a Shared Calendar for her boss, it comes up but his name is not at
the top of the calendar and it does not stay under the "other calendars" on

Using Outlook 2007, I set my time increment on my calendar to 15 minutes, but
when I print my calendar, it prints in 30 minute increments, not 15. How do

In my Outlook calendar view I somehow managed to move my calendar thumbnails
over to the right hand side of the window. I've tried various combination of
dragging and mouse clicks and also searched online and live help for the last

Need Custom Outlook / Exchange form built
Our web folks are asking us to have a form built for our publicly
shared calendar. Is this easily achieved? Can anyone point me in a
direction where I can get more information. Their specifications are
below.
Outlook has built in calendar and export sharing capabilities. We need
someone to write/setup the needed Outlook forms, etc to get our shared
public calendar events exported into an exchangeable file format such
as XML or iCalendar (preferred).
The main form that needs to be built is basically a customized
Appointment form that adds additional fields to the record related to
our business. These fields include bio information, client names and
links, reference number, etc.
Technical hurdles:
- The scheduling setup uses multi-character codes to denote event
status and location. These need to be parsed into additional data
fields. It may be possible to replace these codes with menus on the
custom form.
- The schedule can have multiple event on a single day, or potentially
overlapping evemts at different locations. There needs to be a way for
users to indicate which group of appointments constitute a event.
- The data needs to exported in one of two ways:
1. New versions of Outlook also provide the ability to publish
calendars to a WebDAV server. One option for this project is to setup
Outlook to publish its calendars to a WebDAV server, and have the
website continually check for changes to this published file and
update itself.
2. The data can be exported from Outlook as a file, and then
loaded

Syncronizing Calendars
I have a calendar at work that Publish so that I can use it at home. In order
to use the whole calendar I have to copy my default calendar (calendar) to an
copy (calendar-publish) version and then publish this one. when I subscribe
to it at home I can get the whole calendar. Now I have two calendars at work
(the default and the copy version) and two at home of the same names. How can
I sync all the calendars so that I won't have to copy day by day from the
published on to the default? Is there a way that I can copy the whole
calendar at one time?

I am having a problem with events on my Outlook 2003 Calendar. Something
happened the last few times I tried to import recurring events into my
outlook calendar and the events multiplied. Now I have multiple recurring
events on several different days. I want to know, is there a way that I can

a fairly regular basis.
Export on 2003........has some sort of security measure on it that won't let

Shortcut to Public Calendars
I'm using Outlook 2003 w/ WinXp Pro sp2 and 3.
There are several public calendars that our users use. Some want a shortcut
on their desktop so I simply drap the calendar to their desktop. But when I
try this with some users I get the following message "Internet Explorer

Appointment Import Problem
At work I have been using Outlook XP (2002) with a relatively large number
of recurring and non-recurring appointments in my calendar.
I have recently changed to a more modern pc - still using Windows XP - but
with Outlook 2003 installed. Consequently, I exported all my old
appointments to a csv file and imported them to the new machine. I did the
same for my tasks.
To my amazement, all the recurring appointments (and tasks) seem to have
arrived as non-recurring appointments (and tasks).
The tasks (15,000+) weren't a problem to clear up as I just deleted most of
them and made one of each recurring again.
However, my calendar is now littered with loads of former recurring
appointments - many of which I want to update and amend. Can anyone tell me
if I have to go through them one by one, deleting or amending them, or is
there a quicker way to, say, delete all appointments and get back to a
virgin calendar - so I can start from scratch again, which will be quicker
overall.
Argggh! Help please.

Outlook Calendar Item takes Minutes to open
I have an outlook calendar item that takes minutes to open in outlook 2007.
In outlook 2003 it opens right away. I narrowed the issue down to an email
hyperlink. If I delete and recreate the hyperlink the problem goes away.
This solution is ok for me.. But I figure someone there may want to look at
this..
I can sent a copy of the appoitment (Saved as a m.sg file, if saved as a
.ics the problem does not reproduct, the appoiment has only only the email
hyperlink and date no other informaiton) if someone @ microsoft wants to look
into this further.

meetings errors
I am having troubles with a few mailboxes that I migrated using
self based migration tool. This is a Lotus- > 2007 Migration. Their mail and
other items works ok. Except for the Calender. The users
cannot actively send updates to other attendees for calendar items they
own.
Outlook States not sufficent permissions see folder contact or
administrator.
I have tried repermissioning the mailbox & calendar within outlook. No
Luck, Then I checked the exchange advanced mailbox rights, they have
full mailbox control and read permissions as standard.
I still cannot grant the user permission to their own calendar to send
updates.

How do I keep internet calendar subscriptions from unchecking?
I'm having an annoying little problem with the Internet Calendar feature of
Outlook 2007. Every time I close and reopen Outlook, the calendars that are
subscribed to (which were checked upon closing) have been unchecked! We have
our Calendars automatically opening upon Startup, and want them to be ready
to use right off the bat (without clicking multiple check boxes to pull in
all of our Calendar subscriptions). How can I make them all stay checked by
default?
Things to note:
1) Instead of publishing our office's calendars online, we chose the 2nd
option offered, which is Publish to WebDAV server. I have all of our calendar
subscriptions posting to and pulling from a folder on our server here in the
office.
2) This problem occurs in Vista as well as XP
3) I am aware that an Exchange server would clear all of this up, but that
is beside the point for right now.
4) I have thoroughly searched the Outlook options offered.
5) On the subject of Outlook options, I have Outlook starting in the
Calendar as its default.

Outlook2007 won't show bolded dates, upcoming appointments or holi
I have tried every setting but can't get Outlook to show bold dates on the
To-Do Bar or any upcoming appointments. I have already askd about this and
got a useless answer.
Now I discover that even after I ask twice for holidays to be shown in the
calendar, none appear--unless the Fourth of July is no longer a holiday in
the USA.

alert for outlook 2003 Calendar
WHen I create a appointment within my Outlook 2003, it does not alert me
before the appointment takes place. I tried changing the reminder time but
still no luck. One thing that I noticed is that the appointment does not have
a bell icon, could this be the reason why my appointment is not alerting. I

Maximizing Calendar Window (and make it stick)?
When I get an appointment invitation, Outlook will notify me that the
proposed meeting is in conflict with or adjacent to another appointment
already in my Calendar. When I click the Calendar to check what the conflict
or adjacency is, the Calendar window opens up small. I can maximize it
easily, but the next time I'm in this situation, it opens small again. How
can I get it to open in a maximized state and stay that way? Thanks.

When I go to set an appointment the end time is always 30 minutes after the
start time. I would like to change that to 45 minutes for all appointments I
create. I know I can change the end time but that is a pain in the behind to
do every single time I make an appointment. IS there any way to change the

In Outlook 2003 I had a calendar with sub calendars beneath it. When I
converted to Outlook 2007 the calendars came over fine. I had to reinstall
Outlook due to a hard drive failure. I can now only retreive the main
calendar but not the sub calendars. The main calendar is attached to a

IDispatch Error #56832
TIA everyone, I came across this error msg when a user tried to delete a
calendar entry.. Struck out on technet, google and the MS forums so far.
Hoping someone else has seen it. Right click on the meeting and you
immediately get a parameter incorrect error, <OK>, then the IDispatch error.
Repaired Outlook and ran patches to no avail.

Use of shared calendars
Hello. I'm looking for some advice. One of my customers has created a set
of user accounts which represent a 'boookable resource'. He has given a set
of users (who are call centre operatives) the ability to create appointments
in these calendars. What he wants, is to ensure that each resource is not
'double booked'. As an appointment is added he wants that appointment to be
displayed to the other operatives as soon as possible.
How fast can Schedule/Free Busy information be updated?
Is this sort of calendar usage achievable?
Were running Exchange 2000 with SP3 on Windows 2000 Server SP4.
The clients are a mixture of Outlook 2002 SP2 and SP3.

Meeting requests are appearing in wrong calendar
I am getting all my meeting requests in my personal folders calendar instead
of the standard calendar. I used to get them in the standard calendar and
now they appear there. None of these meeting will give a notice of
appointment. If I copy them to the standard calendar and a meeting is
cancelled by the meeting organizier the deletion will fail. How do I have

Task Recurrence & Outlook Connector
Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help with the above and the problem I have.
Basically, I'm using Outlook 2003 on a Windows XP SP2 computer. I have
installed the Outlook Connector to synchronise with my Hotmail account
(standard account not Hotmail Plus). Following this I have selected the
Deliver New Email To The Following Location to show my Hotmail account as the
default and closed the Personal Folder. I'm aware that the Hotmail account I
have will not synchronise with my Outlook Calender, Tasks etc but it still
allows me to use these Features in Outlook.
My problem therefore is that I'm unable to use the recurring feature in
Outlook. Everytime I try to select a task recurrence a window opens prompting
Outlook Connector Does Not Support This Recurrence Pattern.
Any help would be appreciated - one last point; in my Calender I have
recurring Birthdays that have been created via the Birthday field in my
Contacts??
