Giving others permission to make changes to published calendar
sigh... the Administrative staff would like to share a published calendar.
I've figured out how to create it and how to share it but I cannot seem to
figure out how to give others permission to make additions to the calendar.

Syncing with Google Calendar
I have Outlook 2003. It seems that since I have started syncing with google
calendar, I have been getting a message that says something like "outlook has
stopped working and will close". I get this message even when I do not have
Outlook open. Of course when I do have Outlook open, it closes.

Sync my Calendar to Lotus Notes
I have Outlook 2007 that is an offline copy since LN is our email standard
and I want to sync my calendar and contacts to LN.
I can't set up a mail account for Outlook since I am not an administrator.

Calendar Items Duplicated. Triplicated during PST import and sync
We run a mixed environment of Win XP Pro, Vista and MAC OSX 10.4. The email
we use is a leased Exchange Service 2003 and 2007 with Outlook 2003 and Mac
Entourage 2004 v10.4 desktop clients.
Our calendar has been fine up until yesterday when we attempted to synch the
Mac using Entourage 2004 with our new iPhone.
Upon looking at the synched data in the iPhone we noticed that the calendar
scheduling was duplicated and even triplicated.
I took a look at the calendar data both in Outlook 2003 and in Entourage
2004 for Mac and what I saw was it had taken the individual details of a
caldendar transaction and broken them up into individual entries. By this I
mean that if a calendar entry had a reminder, an alarm, was reoccuring. It
would break this single entry into 3 seperate entries.
Before I started this process I had exported all the calendar entries to a
PST file from Outlook 2003 so I deleted all the calendar entries and tried
again.
This time I imported the calendar entries from an Outlook 2003 PST into
Outlook 2003 and sure enough when it finished importing it had likewise
broken up all the calendar entries into multiple transactions. There
appeared to be no consistency of when it would seperate a transaction and
when it wouldn't.
I have tried this several times and it consistently does the same thing each
time.
Is there a soloution to this problem. Why is it not keeping all the
Calendar data together for each calendar item.
While these appear to be duplicate items they are only duplicates by the
bases of the subject. date and time of the event. But if there are any
additonal reminders, alarms, reoccuring events then it creates a seperate
entry for each one of these instead of having them all in one record.
What's causing this and how do i fix it.

Reminders never go away
Using Outlook 2007 and when the reminders pop up I click on dismiss, but they
never go away and I am bombarded by reminders. The only two people in our
office that have outlook 2007 have this problem and we have been forced to

OLK 2007
In previous versions, we can type something like "+ 3 weeks" or "-45 days"
into the start date of a new calendar appointment and the date field will
update to reflect the correct math. In OLK 2007 (with Vista), it appears I
can only do a "+" of forward start date. Its aggravataing. What if I'm on a
future date and my supervisor want to plan something specifically 45 days
before something else? (- 45 days). Now I have to count manually?

Date and Time a calendar entry was created/added
Here's is my example and related question:
Example:
On Friday 5/2 created a personal calendar entry for an appointment from
2-3pm. On Monday 5/5, the event I created on 5/2 from 2-3pm has past, but
now it has become important that I recall the TIME that I created this entry
on 5/2. I believe I created it 11:00am, but I cannot recall.
Question:
Is there a way to see the date/time a calendar entry was created/added to

How do I mark attended meetings in MS Outlook 2003.

I am not very convient with working with calendaring. Like I can create an
appointment and reoccruence etc but when i want to checkmark a particular
appointment (as we do it in tasks) its not possible for me. all i do is on
completion of appointment i dismiss it or delete it. Is there any batter way

Appointment automatically posting on two calendars
I thought I previously found a way to create an appointment on my
supervisor's calendar (a Drs. appt. for myself) and have it automatically
show up on my calendar without copying or moving. Has anyone done that?

How can I just show the start time on the calendar
I would like to show just the start time on my appointments. I read an answer
that was given before about right clicking the calendar. I tried this but it
only says "open in another window".
Also when I do an "all day event" the time of 12:00 am shows. How can I

Accepted Appointments Show Wrong Time
My computer is using Outlook 2007 on XP SP2. My wife's computer is
using Outlook 2003 on XP SP2. Appointments coming from her calendar
all show an incorrect time, ie 7 pm today (they ALL show the same
time) even if the appointment is on another day.
I've looked at the appointments on her calendar and the invitations in
her sent folder and they all seem correct.
We are using this to schedule patients in our practice, so this is
causing a great deal of chaos.

calendar printing assistant
I just started using outlook 2007 with the calendar printing assistant. The
problem is that the calendar in the printing assistant doesn't show any of my
contacts birthdays or annniversaries that do appear in my normal outlook

Changing Label Identification under Public Folders - Networked Sys
We are currently using Office xp 2003. We use the calender under Public
Folders for security. However, we are trying to change to labels because of
new idents. We have been told this has to be done by our administrator and
he is unable to do so. Under the regular calendar it is not a problem. Can

Outlook cannot find recurrrence information for this appointment
I keep getting a reminder every time I open MS Office that will not let me
dismiss it, Each time it reminds me and uses the current date. When I try
to delete the reminder it states:
The custom form cannot be oppened. Outlook will use an outlook form
instead. Cannot locate recurrence information for this appointment.
What can I do to eliminate this reminder?

How to search for private items?
Hello,
I have some items marked private (checkbox in lower right corner) in my
Outlook Calendar but not marked with a category. I'd like to find all marked
private so I can add a category for better searching.
Advanced Find in Outlook Calendar allows for searching by category but could
not find any info on how to search for items marked with private checkbox.

printing calendar event problem
i have events with excel tables in them. when i do a print preview, it looks

Cancelling recurring appointments erases all my data!
Why is it that Microsoft has not fixed this obvious design flaw. If you end,
or change a recurring appontment, all past edits to that appointment time are
erased instead of only ones in the future. I switched from Palm software to
what I thought was a more versitile program, and it does not even give you
the option to change only future appointments. I found complaints going back
to 2005 on this issue, and they have still not fixed it. Does Microsoft not
listen to people who use their products?
This has caused me and many others a lot of problems. The only work around
for me is to cancal all recurring appointments and reset them each month.
Great! That is over 70 recurring appointments each month that I have to
delete and reset , which is very time consuming. Come on Microsoft fix this

Adding holidays
Can anyone give me a step-by-step idiot's guide to adding holidays to my

Outlook 2007 not showing times in Calendar Items
I know there was a question about the month view not displaying times, but my
question revolves around the day or week view.
In Outlook 2003, if you started the appointment 5 minutes after the hour or
half-hour, it would display the start and end times in the
appointment/meeting. Yet all times I have tried in Outlook 2007 do nothing,
bar put a little jag in the bottom left-hand corner of the calendar item.
Any suggestions on a setting I may have missed, or has this been lost
completely?

Outlook 2K3 free/busy information and delegate.
Hi,
Setup is Outlook 2003 SP3 in cached mode and Exchange 2003 SP2.
We have a manager whose secretary is delegated to accept meetings on his
behalf. The manager can see free/busy information for attendees when he is
making an appointment or accepts it himself. He can not see free busy
information of attendees, it includes himself, for meetings accepted on his
behalf by his secretary. Did some digging and downloaded and applied the
"Office2003-BK935411 -GLB.exe+" patch but the issue remains. I'm stumped, any
help will be highly appreciated.

Meeting Organizer incorrect
We have a calendar for our conference room set up as a public folder in
Outlook to schedule meetings in. Everyone has access to this calendar and can
schedule meetings. They are
to be the organizer and invite themselves so it shows up on their personal
calendar.
Yet some meetings have been scheduled and the person doing it, is not listed
as the meeting organizer in the Scheduling tab list of attendees, but someone
else, someone who isn't even involved. How is this happening?
Also, with some other meetings, when the Scheduling tab is viewed, the
meeting organizer switched to the person viewing it at that time. What is
happening here?

Multiple Calendars - busy on one, free on the other
I have a personal calendar (for non-work meetings, etc.) along with my main
Outlook 2007 calendar. No matter how I set up the personal appointments

Recurring appointments
How to delete attendee names from a recurring appointment and only send
notices to those people. I make many changes to meeting appointments and
attendee lists also change. I would like to send notices to only those

Resources direct booking vs permissions
Hi,
Using Outlook 2003 with Exchange 2003. I have 2 resources mailboxes setup
to auto-accept meeting invitations. I want every user in the company to be
able to book the resources. If there is a conflict we want one person to
deal with these problems. As stated in this article:

a resource. We can book it as an attendee to the meeting, but I think it
misses the goal.

sending options
How do I set sending options when sending meetnig invites?
When I add a person to a meeting and send an update it doesnâ??t give me the
option of sending the invite to the added person and automatically sends an
update to everyone.

Outlook/Exchange Shared Calendar not updating
Hello,
We have a secretary updating her boss's calendar everyday. All of a
sudden, none of her new or edited calendar entries are not being
updated at her boss's calendar. He doesn't see any updates as she
adds or changes them. If I go to another user's computer and update
the same boss's calendar, it works fine. The problem seems to be
isolated to her computer. Can anyone suggest any fixes? We're using
OL2007 and Exchange 2003 SP2 on SBS 2003 server.
By the way, I fixed it once by deleting her profile and recreating it,
but the same problem came back after a week. Any good ideas?

Can you change the default calendar in outlook?
I use Outlook 2007. I have more than one calendar and I would like to know if
there is a way to get those calendars to show on the Outlook Today home page?
Example,
MSN Subscriber, use Outlook Connector, calendar syncs with web and Outlook,
but the events and tasks do now show on the Outlook Today Page. That is the

Can I print two 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 calendars on one page?
I just bought a day planner and i will be printing out my weekly calendar
using Calendar Printing Assistant with my outlook 2007. I want to print it
so that the two pages/week print on a single 8.5x11 sheet of paper. That way
I only need to make one cut and don't waste paper. Is there a way to do this?

My reminders are not working in Outlook 2007.
I just updated from Outlook 2003 to Office Enterprise 2007 and am having a
heap of trouble with Outlook. None, old or new, reminders are working. I
have combed the task for some clue as to why but cannot come up with a thing.
I have used Outlook for nearly 10 years and have grown quite accustomed and

Attendee calendars not showing up (grey striped bar) in Scheduling
This is a recurring issue. For example, I scheduled an appointment and some
of the attendees names were recognized (reformatted after I typed them into
the Scheduling tab), but the chart out to the right displayed a grey
diaganolly striped bar as if I entered an unknown attendee. I checked with
an attendee and I don't think he had logged in yet this morning. After I
knew he was logged in, I checked the appointment and sure enough, I could see
his appointments now. I then closed and reopened the appointment, and while
I don't see the grey striped bar, I can only see his busy time as the
appointment I scheduled, the rest of the bar appears to be available. He
showed me his calendar and that is not the case. I'm assuming this is some
sort of Outlook/Exchange behavior that is expected, but can anybody fill me

Outlook meeting to have tasks (action items) and meeting minutes
I would like to see the option to attach meeting minutes and tasks (to
represent action items) attached to a meeting in Calendar. The meeting
minutes can then be linked to the meeting ensuring it can be found easily.
Also tasks can be used to track the action items and will be easy to track
for closure. It is especially beneficial for scheduled meetings (e.g. weekly
progress meetings).

Resources getting over booked
Greetings,
I have a situation where a resource (meeting room, projector etc) is getting
over booked. Is there some way I can prevent this? So if someone reserves a
room for a specific time, no one else can reserve same resource during the
same times.
