A while back I had a bad situation and the fix was to reset the kerberos
password for a 2k3 dc which is part of an nt4 domain. During the
process of trying to solve the problem, I had reset the domain group
policy to the default settings and I'm thinking this was a bad move in
an nt4 environment. I rebuilt the dns...and all seemed well. Recently
both the computer accounts for the 2k3 and nt4 machines are missing.
Can these be re-added with netdom? Is there anything that's vital to
existing in an nt4 domain that I should pay attention to? I had to
disable smb signing just to view gpo. Advice is much appreciated.

Can you clarify what do you mean by a Windows 2003 Server domain controller
being part of a Windows NT 4.0 domain? If you actually had a Windows 2003
Server-based DC, you would be operating at least at Windows 2003 Interim
functional level within an AD forest...
Which accounts are "missing" and from where (i.e. which tools are you using
to determine that)?

Hello jsanders,

Please clarify the part with 2003 DC in a NT4 domain? Active Directory domain
and NT4 domain works different and you only can have NT4 BDC's in an AD domain,
not the other way around.
