hi,

i have a strange problem.
i created a group policie to deploy printers.
after a while i decided to use another strategie and deleted the policie.

strange thing is:
meanwhile i already deleted the gp AND the printers but they still get
deployed to all the workstations.

so it seems that even i can not access the policie anymore, it still ist
active somewhere.

how can i get rid of this.
i have no idea where to look at.

please help!!

regards

nico

Hello Nico,

Unfortunal policies will not be removed from clients when you just delete
a policy, you have to undo the settings before. Also would be nice if you
post the client OS and the server OS.

OS: WinXP Pro
ServerOS: W2K3 R2

ok,
so now that damage ist done ... what options do i have??
will i ever get rid of th printers??
even if i remove the printers from the clients, the get installes again
next time the user logs on.
but since the printers do not exist anymore in the printerserver, it's
just the names that sit there.

help!!

regards!!

How did you deploy the printers via policy in the first place? Were they
just in log on scripts or something else?
