I Have Create For Main Office PDC and each Branch Office One Site/DC/
GC/DNS , and All Branch are Connected to Main Office With ADSL 256K.
My Problems:

1) Is My IP Setting On Servers and Clients correct? If Answer is NO.
Why? How ?
2) There are Some Shared Folders On Server At Main Office. How My
Clients At all Branches Access to This Folders?

Hello mahmoudmga@gmail.com,

Why have your servers always the /22 subnet mask and the clients a different
one? Who has planned this settings? Because you say WE HAVE a WAN........

Also if you need more NG's for posting use cross posting do not multipost.
http://www.blakjak.demon.co.uk/mul_crss.htm

Additional it seems for me this belongs top the posting "Design of a computer
network solution for a given scenario" in the microsoft.public.win2000.networking
from 06.05.08 00:35, because the complete here posted setup looks really
strange and seems to depend on the other posting even if the ip range is
different.

I apologize if i am wrong, just looks so.

Best regards

Hi Meinolf,

I think the poster, mahmoudmga@gmail.com, is unable or not sure how to
follow or find his posts in order to view everyone's responses. He's posted
new threads numerous times, however he is not replied to one of them. So I
truly believe he can't find them, hence why he's creating new threads.

Unfortunately, he is posting using Google Groups and not a free newsreader.
I myself do not like the web-based newsgroup access methods because the
browser-based method, rather the website app controlling it, doe not provide
the extra features that a newsreader has such as watching posts,
cross-posting, etc, which is unfortunate for the poster. It's not happening
to just him, but to many others out there, from I've noticed. Correct me if
I am wrong, but I believe even Microsoft's community web-based access lacks
such abilities as well, such as the simple ability to watch posts and
cross-post. I would honestly hope one day the designers build this
functionality into their web-based community/newsgroup access methods to at
least come close to what a newsreader can provide. It will truly help the
posters.

The common question that I see mahmoudmga@gmail.com trying to ask, if I
believe I understand him correctly, is how to get machines on all subnets to
be able to access files and folder and/or "see" machines on other subnets.
We all know the answer is WINS. I know he posted a /22 in this thread for
his subnets, but in two previous threads, I believe I saw a /24, so this
thread may have been a typo.

I saw that Kevin Goodnecht also replied with the WINS suggestion in a
previous post. So if mahmoudmga@gmail.com is able to read this, he should
have an answer to his question. Here is the post that Kevin responded about
WINS inthe following, where he also posted he had /24's.

The MS reader allows email notification and a simple x-posting facility. I
tend to use it, or sometimes I use Forte Agent.

Thing that perplexes me is why so many users insist on posting multiple
repeat-repeat-repeat-repeat-repeat-repeats of previous posts in the same
thread. This make the message extremely hard to read, especially when there
are numerous replies. In fact I mostly can't be bothered trying to make sense
of such threads, since it takes so long to pick-out the replies from the
screeds of junk.

Is this done because of some deficiency in other newsreaders which prevents
them following threads? I've yet to encounter a program whichcannot follow
threads -and hence need the whole thread to be repeated in each message for
it to make sense- but maybe there are some like that?

He's using a browser to access it through Google Groups. If you have a
newsreader, you can look at the properties of the original post in this
thread, and his others as well. It's difficult to follow or watch threads,
and it has not capability of cross-posting. So I'm betting he can't find his
own post.
