Licensing Computer for each site?

Hi all,

I run a Win2K3 domain. I noticed that you can choose a Licensing Computer
for each site. I have never configured one for any of my sites including the
default one. What is it for? Do I need to set one up? We are using
per-device licensing. But the only thing I have ever done is choose the
per-device radio-button when installing a server and thats it.

Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hello supersonic_oasis,

Do you talk about the license logging service under services.msc? Then disable
it, never works as expected. Also if you have no Terminal servers running
which requires a licensing server, then you do not to have configure a server
for licensing. Just have control that you have all licenses you need are
available in the correct amount.
