Group Policy allows you to redirect and sync "My Documents" and a few other
select folders but is there anyway to add a new folder to that list? I have
a large group of laptop users that need to add a new folder to their XP
clients and have it available and in sync both on the network drive (for
backups) and on their laptops (for when they travel). We already use GP to
redirect "My Documents", which all users share in this environment so we need
to create a new folder for personal docs. What I'm trying to accomplish is
an automated process that will create this new folder on all XP clients
(i.e., "My Personal Documents" and then have that folder redirected to a
network drive (i.e., H:) and keep both locations in sync. Can this be done
via AD or possibly a script?

Thanks!! David@Rocketmail.com

This can be done with a customized logon script.
There is a few examples out there, search at msn or Google.

Chris,

I've already googled it to death, visited the MS scripting site, looked at
all the samples, etc. to no avail. This is why I'm posting here to see if
someone has such a sample script or idea as to how to accomplish this task.

Thanks,

Dave
