Morning all,

This is my current setup, I have 2 DC in my enviroment, one is a 200
server and the second is a 2k3 server, now what i want to do i
introduce a wk3 r2 server into the enviroment, and make it the primar
DC.

If i run a "netdom query fsmo", this is the result, i have removed th
domain in the results

C:\Program Files\Support Tools>netdom query fsmo
Schema owner server1
Domain role owner server2
PDC role server2
RID pool manager server2
Infrastructure owner server2
The command completed successfully.

When i run a "schupgr" this is the result.

C:\Program Files\Support Tools>Schupgr.exe
Opened Connection to SERVER1
SSPI Bind succeeded
Current Schema Version is 30
Upgrading schema to version 30
Schema has already been changed in another DC in this
are made to this DC. Rerun setup to upgrade this DC

Now i want the new Wk3 R2 server to have all the responsiblity, Roles
DNS, DHCP etc...

Oh yeah, i also have Exchange 2000 running on SERVER1, will thi
upgrade impact Exchange at all?

Whats the next step.

Thank

Hello Wazza,

Run adprep /forestprep and adprep /domainprep command from the second R2
disk.

About Exchange you should have checked this one before you had installed
the first 2003 DC, so it should be fine:

I see the domain is currently at level 30 = 2003 domain, so do yo
suggest i just introduce a new 2003 DC migrate all the roles to it, the
once i have upgraded exchange 2000 to 2007, then upgrade the domain t
2003 R2
