Hi Meinolf,
Thanks for the reply. I did not seize the FSMO roles. I just transferred it.
My intention is not to take the dc off permanently. I just want to
disconnect it temporarily from the network for repairing the NAS that has
gone bad. For this purpose only, I transferred all the FSMO roles to the
other DC. But the problem is, when I disconnect the NAS DC from the network,
I cannont connect to the active directory resources.
