Clean install of ADAM on XP SP2.
Install reported success/no problems.

Subsequently uninstalled and removed the original ADAM instance.

Now, when I try to reinstall ADAM on same machine, the installer
Reports no problems and all seems fine.

However, when I now run ADSIedit it always reports the error
'a required subref is missing'.

Anyone else seen this behaviour and know of a fix ?

TIA

Hi

it's an ADSIedit issue in that it retains a cached view even
through re-installation.

After you get the 'a required subref is missing' popup click OK
and then right-click Remove on whatever nodes you have in the
left-hand pane, that should get you back to an empty console
and you can then add in nodes using right-click Connect to
on the ADAM ADSI Edit root node in the left-hand pane.
