Hi
the only real advance in this area is that the Sites&Services snap-in
in W2k8 works for the AD LDS (ADAM) role. W2k8 also has some
ADSIEdit improvements.
As for ADUC, ADAM is a more generic directory than AD and so ADUC
is targetted on the specific AD-user and AD-Computer objects and attributes.
It's something of an FAQ on how to extend ADUC for exposing additional
attributes in AD and so for the generality of ADAM some serious
re-engineering
would be required. Some customers find some of the third-party LDAP browsers
e.g. Softerra, useful as an ADAM UI.
