Is there a problem with this offer?

Notice that it is labeled as "XP Professional x64 Edition with SP2b..."

SP2b? SP2b is the service pack 2 roll up for x86. SP2 for x64 is still in
release candidate.

"w/Upgrade Coupon for Vista - OEM."

According to
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/expressupgrade.mspx only
XP Tablet SP2, XP Pro SP2, and XP MCE SP2 are elibible for the upgrade
coupon.

Note: NewEgg also offers an upgrade coupon for XP Home SP2, which is listed
as eligible on the Microsoft page.

Somebody doesn't have it right and some consumers are sure not getting good
information.

Yeah, we've seen this before.

Newegg is just confused. SP2 is not yet available for XP x64. If you buy
that, you'll get the original (SP1) release.

There are at least 5 retailers I have seen with the same problem.

I know that. But read the 28 reviews on that page. One customer after
another bought it and found out they could not get Vista after all. Only
one claimed he could...but by "not putting in the serial number"! (whatever
that means). What I am saying is that there's problems with the Express
Upgrade program. Very, very poor communications and people are ordering
stuff that doesn't exist to get stuff that they can't get.

also, XP Pro is eligible and doesn't specify 86 or 64, so would appear both
are eligible.

ASUS is listing XP Pro x64 with an upgrade coupon for Vista Business x64 in
a very clear manner. It looks like the Microsoft site is way out of kilter.
The Asus site is unambiguous.
