iSCSI initiator

I'm trying to install the following:

Initiator-2.02-QFE-bld1895-amd64fre.exe
On a fresh build of Windows Server 2k3 Enterprise R2 x64 with a Dual Core
AMD 64bit Opteron (285), and I get about halfway through the install before I
get an error dialogue that is titled "iscsi200 Setup Error" and gives
"Incorrect Function" in the body of the error message. The only thing to do
from there is to click 'OK', which then brings up another error with the same
title but with "iscsi200 installation did not complete. Select 'OK' to undo
the changes that have been made." in the body. And when you click OK, it
backs up the steps that had already bene done and there we sit.

The event log does not tell anything specific beyond what the error popups
already told me.

I have two of these servers, both in the same state, doing the same thing.
Are there any known compatibility issues with R2 and the iSCSI initiator?

None that I'm aware of. But since you're installing a QFE, you should have
an open case with MS on it. Perhaps the download was corrupted?

FYI for those that may experience this - Upon a bit more prodding and
experimenting I discovered that MS .NET framework 2.0 was the culprit. Once
I removed it from each of the servers and restarted, the iSCSI initiator went
in just fine without a problem. It seems that .NET 2.0 updated a function
that the iSCSI initiator install made a call to.
