Well, it's back. Photoshop 6 hangs up in gdi32.dll. Open Office
delivers some cryptic message. Digging through the MS website, I see
there is a version of gdi32.dll dated August 2, 2006, but you need to
request it directly from Microsoft. Does anyone know what is contained
in the X64 service pack II beta?
Here is the info on the August version of this dll, though it doesn't
seem related to my problem:

On this page

you can find a similar problem with photoshop and the gdi32.dll being
describes, though the poster believes it is related to timing issues.
[Sounds like an overclocker, but the problem sound similar to mine)
---------
I've got the tRC set at 11/13 now (which have been the most stable
timings to date), and after running photoshop, closing it and opening
it about 3 times...on the 4th time I got event ID 1000 error:Faulting
application photoshop.exe, version 7.0.0.0, faulting module gdi32.dll,
version 5.2.3790.2615, fault address 0x00020f94.
---------------
So is there a way to get
Gdi32.dll 5.2.3790.2762
without making a request directly to microsoft?
