X64-MCE Remote Conrol doesnt fully work, using Dvico Dual Digital card and
Beta X64 software and drivers. Remote came with card. Have contacted Dvico
but they dont seme to have much of an idea.
Channel buttons work, but volume, program (channel up /down), play, pause,
stop and most of the other buttons do not or do unexpected things.
Seems to me it could be an X64 compatibility issue, they claim it should
work fine.

I guess I have two options - return remote and try another, install X86 (not
willing to do this as have spent much time getting my X64 working, although
guess I could take an image first).

Anyone have any ideas? any similar experiences? anyone using this product?

Nick

Is the FusionHDTV 3.3Beta1 (3.21.01) version software at:

http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/ENG/Download/SoftwareDVBT.aspx

applicable to you Dvico card? If so, have you installed this?

Congrats Andre. I was referring to the MCE Remote control - this is the name
of the hardware that comes with the Dvico card. Did you read my post or just
scan the first line?
Also, I never asked if the Media Center Capabilities of Windows XP X86 is
compaitble. This makes no logical sense. I have no idea where you invented
that from or even why you thought it might be possible.
You are a hero. Well done.

Anyone have any useful information rather than talking themselves up and
regurgitating info nonsensical to my post? Oh, and read it first and
understand the post - this would be good - you will see that I have followed
sensible practices and not interested in basic FAQ responses like that of
Andre.

Well, the manufacturer is the best source to bug on this issue, the simple
recommendation is 64 bit native drivers, and in your case its beta.

wow Andre - so simple, gee, thanks for your recommmendation pointing out that
it is so simple - a simple recommendation indeed.

You answered your own simple recommendation and regurgitated useless info
YET AGAIN. Yes its Beta (as i had said in my post and you felt the need to
point out to me again) and how this detracts from the fact that its a 64 bit
driver is unknown to me, as you felt the need to recommend 64 bit drivers
even though you state that you already know that this is a 64 bit (beta)
driver (mjentioned in my post). Contradictory really.

Regarding bugging the manufacturer - did you read my post?

Can you post any useful and productive information? Andre we know you know
alot, but please post only useful info where you have a helpful idea - not
just posting to show you know stuff, its a waste of everyones time and fills
up the forum wit posts irrelevant to the questions - which you clearly dont
read or understand.

Thanks to the people who post relevant and prodcutive informtation from
experience, knowledge or research into others issues.

Since Dvico has no idea why their beta software and drivers don't function
to your desires, how can you expect us to come up with a suitable solution
for you. As you stated you are using beta drivers. I'm using beta drivers on
my Leadtek TV2000 XP expert card with no major problems and I'm still
waiting for release drivers.

Dennis - what do you think a forum is actually for? where did I ask for you
to come up with a solution? as a forum user and poster I am seeking ideas or
maybe someone who has the same card / experience and I wont have to reinvent
the wheel, or someone who has heard something related that could help or that
could put me at rest by saying 'hey I have that too and it my remote also
does not work'. The point is Dvico are saying it should work (they never said
their beta software and drivers do not function) so im trying to ascertain if
the remote may be faulty or if there is some special tweak or method to
configuring this. Card and functions work as expected.

If you dont have any idea - dont post. If you do, thanks gratefully for the
help.

Nick:

I understand your frustration. I still can't get the Winfast PVR
software to function properly even though it's supposed to be tested and
function. I don't use a remote, so that part I have no ideas. Software that
I found very functional is ShowShifter unless Media Encoder 9 64-bit is
installed. A trial is available and multiple remotes are listed during
setup.
