Hello,

Thsi is the first time I inherit a x64 system. How do I find out if the
Windows 2003 server installed is a 64 bit version of windows server. When I
view the computer properties I ony see the windows entreprise version with
sp2 installed.

Thanks

Hi, new64bituser.

Doesn't <Win>+Break still work in Win2003?

That is, hold down the Windows logo key and press the Pause/Break key. The
System Properties page should pop up in your face and tell you if it is
64-bit.

I'm just one guy, one computer, no net but the Internet, so I've never run a
server, but that shortcut has worked in every Windows/Vista version I've
used for over a decade.

I guess I didn't make my question clear enough. Basically what I really
wanted to know is how to differintiate from a 32 bit to a 64 bit version of
windows 2003 server, if the system was not installed by me? I guess what you
are saying is that it should state that it is 64 bits in the System
Properties Window.

Thanks

WinVer will show you the x64 Edition logo, and there are innumerable
registry keys that are only present in the x64 Edition. Or you can look at
the directory structure and see both \program files and \program files
(x86) directories. Etc. Etc.
