Hi all,
A rather serious problem it would seem. I just got a WD myBook 500 gig
external USB2 hd and am trying to back up some files from my desktop with it.
I already backed up my laptop no problem, it's running XP, yet every time I
try and copy over a large amount of files (say, 100 gigs) or reformat the
external HD (not quick, but total reformat) my computer either bluescreens or
totally freezes. What's odd is that i can transfer say 30 gigs of data ok but
after that it dies. I'm truly stumped here and no one else seems to be having
this problem so please please help. Let me know any information you may want.
I've tried many many things to fix this.
