Hi, I am finally thinking about moving from the 32-bit XP to the 64-bit. Has
it gotten any better? I gave the initial 64-bit beta test a shot going back a
few years ago , maybe 2 years or so ago, and it was a "nightmare" nothing
worked right due mainly to the fact that it was indeed still in Beta but also
because the drivers for the hardware just were not there. Has the situation
gotten any better? Another thing I know it is impossible to do an upgrade
from 32-bit to 64-bit so I was wondering if anyone has any tips that might be
useful if I went through with the transition. Another thing what are the
limitations between user profiles in the 32-bit environment and the 64-bit
environment what kind of issues do you think would arise if a user was to
copy the user profile from a 32-bit environment over to a 64bit? I know that
the shortcuts present in the profile won't work until the programs associated
with them are reinstalled and the shortcuts are re linked to their respective
apps. Thanks for any help!

Is it better? Sure. Is it perfect? Not even close. Before you do the move,
let me suggest a couple of articles from my blog:
