Hi Dennis
I believe they are 32 bit drivers that work on x64 and Vista x64
Looking for a 64-bit DSM that lets a true 64-bit application access the
Twain driver...

The Epson drivers I have installed on my Win x64 for Epson
Perfection 3170 Photo scanner are indeed 64-bit drivers.
They won't work in my 32-bit installation and if you
research Microsoft's web site there used to be specific
information posted to affirm that the drivers for Win x64
had to be 64-bit to work.

Here's one reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/896333

Vuescan supports many scanners. It is a stand alone program, not a
twain, but it does allow using older scanners on 64 bit operations
systems.

My Epson 4990 Photo 64 bit drivers are actual 64 bit drivers and twain.
They have to be or won't install. They won't install on x86 (32bit)
XP Home or Pro.
