It would vary by what options you installed, I suspect. But take a look at
the contents of the i386 folder on the distribution media. That's the 32-bit
stuff.

Hello,
One thing to note when looking at the i386 folder on an X64 CD\DVD.
Most of the files in that folder have a W prepended to the name of the file.
This is removed during the installation to the syswow64 folder, but it may
cause some confusion if you are looking at the folder on the CD.
32-bit files on the CD for the most part have the W prepended to tell them
apart from 64-bit files.
This helps with installing and caching of files.
Thanks,
Darrell Gorter[MSFT]

There are two folders that contains files, i386 and Amd64.
Do you mean i386 has the 32bit files and Amd64 has the
64 bit ?

I think I am going to install it on one of the empty hard drives
I have, and get the list.
Normally MS releases the lists, but haven't doing so after Win Me.

correct. With the caveat, as Darrell points out, that many of the files in
the i386 folder have a prepended "w" to the file name.

I just looked at the properties of my SysWOW64 directory and there are
1,640 files and 95 folders. You'll get quite a lengthy list!

Mine is 1732 files, I think installation files are about 1470
or less.
I sorted the files by date, and counted files dated 2005.

Hello,
Open the \windows\inf\layout.inf file
Look for the section [sourcedisksfiles.amd64] Should be at the bottom on
the file.
Example of a couple of entries
w_isdel.exe = 55,,222222,,,,,83,0,0,_isdel.exe
w_setup.dll = 55,,222222,,,,,83,0,0,_setup.dll
wisetup.exe = 55,,222222,,,,,83,0,0,setup.exe

From the example above.
Filename w_isdel.exe is copied from the i386 source folder to the
\syswow64\installshield folder and renamed to isdel.exe

The 55 denotes the source folder is the i386 folder on the CD
from section [SourceDisksNames.amd64]
The 83 means the file is copied to destination of SysWOW64\InstallShield

From the section, this is destination
[WinntDirectories]
list of folders syswow64 and below.
82 = SysWOW64
83 = SysWOW64\InstallShield
84 = SysWOW64\wbem
85 = SysWOW64\export
86 = SysWOW64\wbem\AdStatus
87 = SysWOW64\ias
93 = SysWOW64\Drivers
94 = SysWOW64\usmt
113 = SysWOW64\1025
114 = SysWOW64\1028
115 = SysWOW64\1031
116 = SysWOW64\1033
117 = SysWOW64\1037
118 = SysWOW64\1041
119 = SysWOW64\1042
120 = SysWOW64\1054
121 = SysWOW64\2052
122 = SysWOW64\3076
256 = syswow64\mui
