    - EventSystem while tying to solve this issue "Faulting application game.exe, version 0.0.0.0, faulting module game.exe, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x00054e83. any idea?     - AOL WILL NOT WORK WITH X64 PROFESSIONAL So far so good, just about everything is working great with x64 professional. I had some minor internet problems at first but go updated x64 drivers from nvidia. The only thing i cant get right now is AOL and Windows Media Player 10. I downloaded AOL 9se but it tells me to contact aol, which i did. then the aol tech told me i have to have a windows 64 bit patch for aol to work right.     - Installing RAID with no floppy I built my system and didnt want to drop money on a floppy drive that i would never use...now its looking like i am going to need to install a RAID driver and i am wondering if there is a way to get around buying a floppy (i.e. a jump drive,) or if that is the only way. sorry if this is a dumb question. If anyone is feeling particularly generous, I could really use some expert type help with this situation, as I am not able to finish the windows install.     - Netgear print server... Ugly install, but it works. It's 32 bit software, but it installs with only a "Can't add monitor" (paraphrasing here) error message. It calls for a reboot, but just proceed. Fire up the Print Server Setup app, and it'll find the server on the network automatically. It will show up as PSxxxxxx when you do an Add Printer and browse for network printers. You will be able to add the two ports, but theay will be called P1 and P2, as opposed to whatever printer is attached (You can always add a comment to remind you what printer is actually attached) So, there you have it.     - 180 day XP64 trial software? Just received the cd two days ago. I tried installing it on formatted hd with no previous OS. It completed the install, rebooted and showed dual boot options but would not boot when XP64 selected.     - OEM xp64 v. Trial xp64 ? I know one is the OS for OEM systems and the other is the time limited trial. I am running the OEM ver., but ordered the trial cd to see what it looked like. After reading the docs for the trial, I decided not to install it as I feared messing up my working OEM ver. Sometimes, curiosity kills the cat.     - Please help me synch drive assignments on dual boot O.K. I have a problem with drive letter assignments. I?m building a new machine. An ASUS A8V, AMD 3500+, 200MB SATA as primary (divided into two partitions), and a 300MB IDE as file storage I first installed Win32. It went into the first partition of the SATA and called itself C: as nice as can be. FWIW I had not formatted the second half of that SATA drive. Anyhow the IDE drive showed up as G: Again all nice and happy. Then I installed my purchased copy of Win64 (not an upgrade). It loaded well. Established a dual boot BOOT.INI and happily ran and registered itself over my wireless NIC. Both systems seem to happily co-exist. However, the Win64 system installed itself as Drive G: and generally loused up my drive assignments. (I think the data drive in Win64 is called D) I expect to be running both systems for a while. I expect to use Win64 for extensive film and photo editing and the older Win32 mostly because I have some substantial driver problems with some of my commercial grade printers and scanners. It is kind of important that my data (picture) files have the same drive letter assignment in both systems. I, of course, can?t merely change the drive letter of the Win64 operating system. I haven?t loaded any of the applications on either system yet (I had expected trouble) and I will happily blow away either, or both. I sure would appreciate some suggestions on how to rebuild this machine to get Win32 on C: and Win64 on D:. I don?t much care what drive assignment I put the data disk on. Thanks for your help.     - connecting to 64 bit cmd.exe or regedit.exe from remote scripts Many of my scripts are not working on the 64 bit machines. I think it's because they are using the WOW64 version of the exe instead of the system32 version. Does anyone know the trick to allow remote batch files to work? Show Desktop Icons on x64 is missing anyone else having this problem....when
u right click on the desktop and goto arrange icons the show desktop icons
option is missing so how would i hide the icons?

Yes, that option isn't available. You can remove the icons to "hide" them,
but then the ability to quickly show them isn't available. One workaround
that occurs to me is to create a folder on your desktop, and dump all your
icons into it. That leaves you with only a single icon visible, and yet you
can easily get to all of them.
