0x0000007b on SATA HD from Installation CD only

Asus P5WD2 Premium Motherboard
Nividia N6200TC Video
Hitachi 250gb SATA-II HD
Corsiar 2 x 512 DDR2
Windows XP x64

Windows x64 clean install onto SATA-II HD on ICH7R controller, went with no
problems or error messages, did not install any driver at the F6 stage of
boot up.

In BIOS SATA = IDE, since only running one drive. Machine runs fine with
X64, all drivers installed in device manager, no exclamation marks or errors.

See need to create two partitions and dual boot with XP32 and XP64.

Run install CD to delete original partition and create two separate ones.
All drivers load, install reaches "Starting Windows" pauses few seconds, goes
to black screen, then to blue screen with STOP: 0x0000007b
(0xFFFFFADFE4A323C0, with more codes.

The machine should not have a virus. Nothing but OS and Word Perfect on here.

Asus tech suggested installing ICH7R RAID drivers @ F6, no luck...

Tried installing new drive, and making drive with problem partition slave,
and deleting from there, no luck, same error.

From hard drive OS boots and runs fine, no errors.... Try to boot from
Installation CD, same error everytime. Any suggestions or work arounds?

If you go to the Microsoft web site and search on you STOP: code, you=20
will discover this is caused by outdated SATA drivers. In December=20
2004, Microsoft updated the requirement that Win x64 drivers be=20
"decorated" for proper installation and recognition by Win x64. If you=20
either modify the .INF for your SATA driver to include the decorations,=20
or obtain a current driver, this error will disappear.
