Again problem with VIA

Q : Does A8V-E Deluxe or A8V-E Deluxe NW support AMD dual-core CPU?
A : Due to VIA K8T890 chipset limitation, A8V-E Deluxe and A8V-E Deluxe NW
do not support AMD Dual-Core CPUs.

link in french (sorry for that).
It was publish in a weekly email from Asus

Glad I have the A8V non-E. Though there have been other hints that the K8T890
chipset has had significant problems.

Anyone know if the regular A8V Deluxe can support dual core?

Where does it say the A8V wonâ??t support dual core on the AMD site? I would
think they mean at the moment until it has a bios update, but if its the via
chipset then that will effect every board using that chipset so there will be
an awful lot of people out there unhappy that AMD and via for not making them
compatible especially as it been put around that all you will need with a
socket 939 board is a bios update

I avoid all non-Intel chipsets. But due to Intels late arrival in the
x-64 market, I had no choice but to buy AMD, and hence a non-Intel
chipset. the A8V chipset seemed to get good ish reviews, and I have not
had too many problems. (still wish I had a Intel CPU and chipset thou..)
