Had my computer on a wired network, then during moving installed the wireless
card that came with my mobo, worked fine. Now i'm in the new apt and took the
wireless card back out, disabled wireless, but cant connect to the net.
plugged directly to the modem, "Local Area Connection 1" says connected,
firewalled, but no internet. Tried resetting the modem to no avail. Same
symptom when connected to the router i have, and my girlfriend's laptop works
fine (hence my being able to post). Even tried System Restore back to before
the move, but same deal.
