Need to know the OS is 64bit edition or not

I need to find out whether the server runs in 32 bit OS or 64 bit OS.
Following is the information i got when i did "winver" in run prompt,

version 5.2 (Build 3790.srv03_sp2_rtm.070216-1710 : Service pack 2)

Can you kindly confirm whether this is 32 bit / 64 bit Operating system?

My version is 5.2 (Build 3790.srv03_sp2gdr.070321-2337 : Service Pack 2)
I have XP x64. Doesn´t your winver also show x64 edition? Mine does.
Also check Control Panel -> System -> General.
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Systen Information.
You should see x64.

Thanks for helping me.

In the screens you specified, i did not find X64. The operating system that
is available is windows server 2003.

Is it safe to assume, it is 32 bit operating system?
I dont know why it is not explitly saying it is 32 bit.

It doesn't explicitly say it since it came out in 2003 and there was
no 64-bit Server 2003 at the time. 32-bit was all they had, no need
to differentiate.

They never changed this. Server 2003 32-bit is the "regular" edition
whereas Server 2003 64-bit is the "different" one.

I'm not at all sure that it says 64-bit in Winver regardless. BUT, if you go
to Control Panel, System, you'll see 64-bit there if it is. (Or right click
My Computer and select Properties - same dialog.)

Lots of ways to confirm it. Presence of Program Files (x86) directory, for
example. Or various registry keys. Or Control Panel, System and it will say
64-bit there. But Winver is not a reliable way to tell.

It appears WINVER never reports if the OS is a 32-bit or 64-bit version.

This should be obvious in the System Control Panel as other's have noted.

You can also type 'set' in a command prompt and look for the
PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE variable. It shows "AMD64" if it's an X64 system.

You may run the "systeminfo" utility from a command prompt, this will
tell you exactly, what kind of Windows release is installed on your
system.
The utility is included since Windows NT 5.1, aka XP.

If you had a 64 bit executable you could try running it and see if it runs.

Hi, Ranjith.

In addition to all the other tips you've received, MY favorite way is
simply: <Win>+<Break>

That is, hold the Windows logo key (now called the Start key on some
keyboards) while pressing the Pause/Break key, in the upper right of most
keyboards. The System Properties page should pop up in your face. I've
never run any server, but this has worked for every Windows version since
Win9x, I think.

In the middle of that System screen, my Vista X64 says:
System type: 64-bit Operating System
