Does anybody know where can I find an x64 usb driver for my mobile phone?
It is a Siemens (now Benq) CF76, which is equal to the CF75.
Any help will be appreciated.

Does it need any driver?

This download link certainly hasn't got any of those.

http://ringtones.mobilefun.co.uk/cat_siemens_cf76.htm

but

http://www.mobihand.com/gsmarena/homeSoftware.asp

might pay off to have a good look through?

Tony:
Mobile phones connected via USB need drivers because Windows "sees" them as
modems.
I have successfully been able to use my kids Motorola's using x64 drivers
available in Motodev.
But no x64 drivers yet for my phone.

Ah, modem indeed - I didn't know that! But that is strange, though. MS has
business software to run phone-based services and the OS should be aware of
that stuff, i believe. Don't you need to add something or other of the more
obscure 'Windows Components'?

Tony:
The OS, somehow, is aware of it because it detects "Siemens USB
connectivity" but fails when searching for a proper driver.

Oh, well Carlos - that sounds as a 'no go', I'm sure. I'm not confident of
mobiles & pc's to hand out any good advice - but I know I couldn't stop
myself for very long to give the driver search routine the path back to the
phone itself as a last ditch attempt - just in case it has someting in ROM
somewhere.

Ah, but that's just because I can't stop punnishing myself when I'm up
against a wall.

Tony:
Never mind.
I use my good ol' notebook dated 2002, with XP, for connecting my Siemens
mobile phone via USB.
There are official Siemens drivers and software for that "old" operating
system.

If your 'phone is anything like my Motorola, it actually uses a USB
driver which is included in Windows. The problem is that the 'phone's
.inf file isn't decorated for x64 so it can't load that driver. I simply
edited my 'phone's .inf file with the x64 decorations and it went ahead
and used Windows own driver.

This will only work if the 'phone doesn't actually need a driver
supplied with it. It has to be able to use a standard Windows driver, in
my case I think it was USBSER.

Graham.

Grahan:
I wish that were the case, but the inf file (siusbmod.inf) calls for a sys
file (siusbmod.sys) which - of course - is 32-bit only.
Motorola phones do have official x64 drivers at a placa called motodev.
That's the way my son's v235 is working in Vista x64.
I don't have the exact web page because I am at work now.
