I am new to this forum so I did the usual search for what I wanted, 64 bit
drivers for my MS mouse and my MS fingerprint reader. Zilch, nada, nein, non
!

So here's my beef; why the f&^k is MS the last outfit to update their
drivers. Wouldn't you THINK they are trying to sell this OS and at least get
THEIR OWN friggin drivers updated ??? I can't use the double click on my
Intellimouse 'cuz I can't find a 64 bit version of the driver - the
installation bails and version 5.2 is the ONLY version I can find on the MS
site. The fingerprint reader has version 1.0 and it's been out for a
couple of years. Looks like it's an orphan already :-(

MS is the fastest outfit I have ever seen to abandon hardware if it doesn't
sell fast enough. Anyway, I am four or five days into the 6 month evaluation
but I can sure see NOT purchasing this version in Feb when the trial period
is up if MS doesn't update their driver data base at LEAST for their own
hardware. Heck my Epson R200 just updated their print drivers for 64.

I think the only answer for you would be "Logitech". ;)

For your mouse try using Phil Gibbons' "X-Mouse Button Control". You can
download this either from PlanetAMD64 (http://www.planetamd64.com) or from
Phil's site (http://www.highrez.co.uk/downloads/XMouseButtonControl.htm).

Thanks. I tried it but it still does not let me assign a double click to the
wheel. Rats ..

That's odd since it is working perfectly for me here with double click
assigned to wheel depress. What sort of mouse are you using?

Went back in and had another look. Menu went up without going to the top ...
when I RTFM :-) I found doubleclick .... works great !
Thanks for the tip ! Now you'll be on my genius list if you can figure out
how to get a MS (DigiPersona) fingerprint scanner to work !

Norman,

Glad to read you've managed at least to fix your mouse problem. Thanks
due to RC White who convinced me to look again on PlanetAMD64 as I had
skipped right over this app when looking for a 64 bit alternative to
Intellipoint.

Sorry not to be able to help with your fingerprint scanner.
