Hi all

I am trying to install x64 SP2 on my XP64 system, but the installation
aborts with a "Setup could not verify the integrity of update.inf. Make sure
the Cryptographic service is running on the computer".
Now I checked, and it is running, I restarted the service a few times, and
tried to run the installation again, but to no avail. Are there any other
services related to this one, which need to be enabled as well?

I would suspect your SP2 package. Try downloading it again.
Unfortunately I don't think there are any Check Sums to
verify the integrity of your download.

Thanks Darrell. Tried that one, but that was not the case. I entered some
better words to search for in the KB, and found this page:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822798/en-us
Method 1 (rename Edb.log), did it for me.

Thanks for pointing my nose to the right direction :-)
