Can this be done?

It's easier to buy an external hard drive than have wait to have an internal
one installed since installing an internal one myself will void my warranty.

I suppose it's possible, but it would take a suitable driver that the
installer can see, and it would, unless the external is connected via SATA,
not be terribly fast.

Thanks for your reply. I think I'll put in a new internal and just dual boot
the machine with x64 on the D drive.
