Did MS get the problem fix with this program?
If so can someone send me to the step by step?
All I know was that the 32 did not work on the 64

From Joe (MSFT)
I've looked into this and the down for the File and Settings Transfer Wizard
is not available at this time.

We are working to correct this and I will post once it's made available.

Also, the File and Settings Transfer Wizard from the x64 CD will not work on
the 32bit OS so you'll need to download the 32bit update prior to running
the Wizard.

The 32-bit one won't work. We haven't seen an updated one yet, but I'm
hopeful shortly. Meanwhile, you _can_ use the x64 one if you can have both
the x64 and the 32-bit Windows versions available. x64 Edition will create a
USB key that has what you need on it.

Interesting - the download requires a Genuine Windows Validation - the
method utilizing the ActiveX control did not work for me. The alternate
validation method did work, but the actual hotfix install failed with an
"The updatebr.inf file is invalid" error.

OOPS - My bad. I see that this piece of software updates the 32 bit version
of XP.

RTFM, right?

Why not post as new post so more people will see it?
