    - I just received a second reply from Tier2 And when I say a second reply, I mean I got the first reply, AGAIN. I e-mailed them almost three weeks ago, originally, then one week ago I got a reply back from them saying what's pasted below. Now, just today, I received the SAME EXACT MESSAGE. AGAIN. STILL no acknowledgement that there's an issue with a whole batch of OEM PIDs. What is Tier2 doing?     - cannot boot after installing server 2003 64-bit On a new server, based on an intel se7520af2 server board with 8GB RAM, 2 Xeon CPU's, and using the onboard SCSI RAID, I get completely through the server 2003 install fine, but when the system goes to boot for the first time I see just the starting windows screen for a second, then the system reboots. It will keep rebooting cyclically like this. I have tried turning off HTT in the CPU's and adjusting the cache setting on the RAID array, but to no avail. If I boot from CD is there something I can look at to figure out what is wrong and try to correct it? I have tried reinstalling 3 times and it is the same result each time.     - Compatibility for Win2K Video Editing System Hi There, I have a P4 1700mHz 512MB RDRAM Win2K Pro computer, with a Pinnacle DC1000 DV VIdeo Capture/Editing Card and the ATI Radeon 7500 Dual-Display Graphics card. It also has 2 ATA (2X10GB) and one IDE (80GB) HDD- all on an ASUS P4T533 Motherboard. The video editing software is Adobe Premiere 6.0. Currently the system is working very slowly (not enough RAM for editing), and crashes from time to time while editing. My question is- will this system be compatible with Windows XP 32-bit, or will I better use the 64-bit edition? and does that system meets the minimum requirements for each XP version?     - ATT dialer Any one using ATT's VPN dialer? I've tried both version 5.09.2 and version 6.03 - neither works. [Both work on the same pc under the 32 bit version of Windows XP Pro].     - Order 64Bit Edition or not? Hi! Im in the dark regarding 64bit processing tech. I just orderd a new cpu via an offering from my workplace. The cpu uses the new intel processor with support for 64bit. I have read as much info i can find regarding 64bit and in my point of view it seems to have more advantages then drawbacks. My cpu use consists mainly of video and musik rending and mixing, and some seroius gaming:) I have noticed the extreme cpu usage of heavy video rending and 64mit seem to remedy this. So my main question is should i order 64bit windows? Why im asking is that im a bit of a coward and perhapes need a push in the right direction :) My "cowardness" is related to my cpu usage. I know you cant answear compability problems/questions cause of the huge amout of combos in hardware/software. But can i take advantage of the 64bit for my purpose of video rending and gaming or should i stick to xp?Like i said i would "catalog" myself as a high end home user that dont use the cpu for work with ex cad models.... Im not a "pro" that can tweak systems exactly as a want and so on....i feel more comfortable with more or less easy managable systems (not a system you have to manually change alot) if you know what i mean. this is the processor i orderd in my "package" together with 1,5 gig ram, and radeon 850 graphic card.     - slow to recognize fire wire drive I have a K8N-E dlx mb with 3200+ and 2GB memory. When I attach an external firewire drive it takes about 5 minutes for it to be recognized.     - Silicon Sil3114 Raid Does anybody have the experience to install "two" same Silicon Sil3114 Raid Cards on the MB, and both of them can work normally. I have a Sil3114 raid card and a bloody Promise Fastek SATA150 raid card on hand, but Promise has never provided the X64 driver for intel P6xx. Drives 2x80 GB Barracyda SATA HD in RAID 0, SONY DRU-720A DVD+R Double Layer DVD+/- RW/+R/CD, no name DVD CD. Printer Canon PIXMA iP3000. MOBO 64 Bit drivers are all at ASUS for everything on the MOBO that I use, i.e. Wifi, Audio, Raid. the only inconvenience was finding the program to create the F6 RAID floppy. Graphics Card, Nvida has the 64bit drivers for this card. CD drivers came off the X64 install disk and appear to be working fine. Printer :) There are no Canon drivers for this printer, I ran in circles looking everywhere, called Canon and was told 1-2 months....Then Bingo, someone mentioned that there were drivers for some Canon printers in the X64 install, went and loaded one at random from Canon list and lol, it works, not great, but it works and will do unitl Canon release's 64 Bit drivers....... Software...Games.....WoW works, EQ2 works, Half-life 2 works, they all run great, if anything better that they used to. Install difficulty on a scale of 1-10, about 2-3. Why, You should have been a gamer in the prewindoz days when you had to know how to work on the files in your HD with a hex/askii editor, you had to a have a different audio/video/game controller driver for almost each game.... -- Is It True?     - Question(s) about RTM release I am currently running a multi-boot setup, with Windows XP SP2 on one partition, and WIndows XP x64 RC2 on another partition (which runs great). My plan is to download the RTM trial edition when it becomes available while I wait to obtain a fully-functional (no timebomb) copy for permanent use. I have two questions: (1) Will the RTM trial edition install over my RC2 edition, and upgrade it? (and I guess reduce the license time from 365 days to 120 days). Or do I need to format and re-install? If so, forget it, RC2 seems stable and functional enough until I get a full RTM CDROM. (2) With RC2, the Windows Update seems to work fine, but there has never been an update to install. Is that because RC2 is "cut off" so-to-speak from updates and the feature is "up and running" but not "functioning"? Or are there truly no new updates? If cut-off, that worries me a little, I'd hate to think I am opening myself up to security issues by running an OS without security update features.     - Zomax was a bad choice for CRM Just a general comment for any MS managers who might read this--Zomax was a terrible choice for handling your x64 Technology Advancement Program customer relations. A brief list of my own grievences: 1. Had to use a credit card to pay for shipping, but DID NOT RECEIVE a confirmation email. Quite disturbing, considering Zomax (probably at Microsoft's direction) makes the upgrade sign-up site look like a MS site, when in fact it's not. Who has my credit card information, now? Big, big, mystery. 2. After ordering, the Zomax-run status check web site simply says, "pending." Pending what, precisely, and until when? Simply "pending" is inadequate, especially now that I'm concerned about the security and location of my personal financial information (see #1, above). Strike two. 3. Repeated emails to the address listed on the upgrade site yield no reply--even direct email inquiries to Zomax go unanswered. Isn't it true that one of the biggest reasons for outsourcing your customer relations is because you don't have the staff on hand to handle the inevitable high volume of communications necessary, and the company you hire has the needed capacity? Apparently Zomax fails again. Strike three. Check out the planetamd64.com and extended64.com sites--you'll see I'm just a drop in the bucket. MS, you really dropped the ball when you hired Zomax.     - Dual DVI PCI Express Video Card compatibility Howdy, I just got a couple of LCD displays with DVI. Want to get a reasonably priced (~$250) ATI or Nvidia video card that is PCI Express x16, dual DVI out (NOT 1 vga/1 dvi) and of course, x64 compatible.     - Installing printer drivers for shared printers ? I've got several printers spooled from a 32 bit print server, I want to connect to these from an x64 machine. Whenever I try to connect the x64 machine to the network shared printer it says the driver doesn't exist on the print server, in the "sharing" tab on the printer properties on the print server I have the option to install an x64 driver for remote printers, but I can't find the files it needs. The x64 box has the drivers if I install the printer locally but I've pointed the 32bit print server at all parts of the x64 CD and it can't seem to find the additional drivers it needs?     - Is anyone maintaining a list of x64 software? I was thinking of contacting some companies to enquire about x64 versions of their software. I'm thinking about the likes of WinZip, Acrobat Reader, Textpad and others that I use. I expect there are many people and many, many applications that could be added to the list. I wonder if anyone has thought about maintaining a list, where you could check to see if there's any knowledge on the app you're interested in. So, you could go check and find out, say, that WinZip *are* planning an x64 version, with a Beta starting "Q2 2005" and ship expected around Q3. This is just an example. I guess it would make sense to allow all parties to register some form of interest per-product. The idea is, the site maintainer could say to WinZip: "Look, 3000 people are interested, so there is a market for it.     - Got the trail and I am liking it. A few ? Well I had the beta but now I have the trail CD and all I have to say is that it seems better and faster. Now my only problem is that I need drivers for the Epson C64, Canon D660U, Logitech quick cam, and my Star-tech 2 port serial card. I'm thinking about upgrading to Win64. However the Epson site tells me,
there is no driver for my EPL 6200L printer available for XP64 and I
doubt this will soon change.

Hi Andreas,

Try to find one similar or close to in the list of the provided drivers in
x64.
I had the same issue with HP 6100 and it works with the 990c driver.
